“Great horses, great view -- what more could you want!”

We stayed at this resort in August. My husband and I were in one room and our 3 children were in an adjoining room. We had an unbelievable gorgeous view from our bedroom and bathroom of the beautiful mountains surrounding the property. While the rooms themselves were very rustic, the hostess in the restaurant was incredibly rude and the housekeeping left a lot to be desired, the scenery more than made up for all of these challenges and I would still go back in a heartbeat. The hotel is located on the outskirts of town, high on a mountain road. The property is sharted with Amangani, which means there are 2x as many restaurants to go to. The riding is expectionally well run and the horses are very well trained and suitably for children as young as 5 years old. The trail rides are just beautiful and very reasonably priced. Btw, the hotel is also reasonably priced. In my opinion, its the best deal going in Jackson Hole.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for one of the outer facing rooms with the beautiful views. There are several that...

“Beautifully Rustic Room & Great Views!”

We had a lovely weekend getaway at Spring Creek. We fell in love with the room. The stone (wood) fireplace with the vaulted ceilings was stunning. We also had beautiful views of the snowy mountains out both windows. (It was a little to cold to fully appreciate the view from the balcony!) It's an older facility but it was very tastefully remodeled to preserve the rustic feel and wasn't done up to make it feel too modern either. I think the only negative thing I can say about the rooms was that my husband wasn't a fan of the bed. He thought it was too hard. I didn't think it was that bad, but it definitely wasn't a soft bed you sink into.

We LOVED the spa. We had excellent massages, and I loved the spa atmosphere. We also had several meals in the restaurant. The service was excellent. They were very attentive and very good about spacing out each course so we could fully enjoy each, but the meal didn't drag on. The food was good. I think my husband enjoyed the food more than I, but I think that's more personal taste and choice of entree. The views and service made the restaurant even better.

Hands down I'd recommend Spring Creek Ranch for a weekend getaway or for a skiing vacation!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with an unobstructed view. All the rooms have a great view, but some have parts of o...

“Best Grand Teton views in Jackson Hole!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011 via mobile

From my first visit in 1989 to this past October, Jackson Hole is right at the top of my list of favorite places on earth. There is not a more dramatic mountain range than the Tetons and no better place to see them bathed in early morning sunlight, with a cup of coffee in your hand, than from the deck of a room at Spring Creek Ranch.

The rooms are spacious, well appointed and clean. There are newer, fancier hotels in Jackson but none with the views, wildlife and outdoor activities that brings us to JH in the first place.

With frequent free shuttles to the slopes one can combine fabulous views of the mountains, sitting in front of a cozy fireplace in their room, with an active day on the slopes.

Whether you are coming to JH for a business meeting or pleasure, Spring Creek will not disappoint and might be a top of the list experience!

“Disappointing Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

We made our reservations for this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend. The location is lovely because it's high above the plains and the views can be marvelous. Weather permitting. The view from the restaurant is particularly spectacular so we thought we would be in for a treat. Unfortunately we were wrong. Our room was dark - there was not enough lighting in the room at all - and it was definitely time to replace the mattress. (Very uncomfortable.) The restaurant with the view? It was closed - at least for the week we were there. (There was nothing about that closure on their website when I made the reservations.) The final blow - which of course was NOT the fault of the hotel - was the low clouds that removed any and all view opportunities. I definitely would not wish to stay there again.

“Nice views, friendly staff”

This "ranch" is right next door to Amangani, and some of their rooms have just as good, if not better views on the butte. Rooms a bit outdated and the heat is cranked up (!), so bring your water bottle to stay hydrated. If you stay here, keep in mind, you will have to lug your bags from your car, on poorly maintained sidewalks, and upstairs (if you are on the top floor). We did this in the pouring rain - yuck! Lighting throughout the ranch is not great either, so probably not the best spot for older folks with unstable balance.
The best perk: you can stay here for a fraction of the price of Amangani, but walk right next door to enjoy their food/wine/views, etc. It's a win-win.
