“Great hotel”

Very nice hotel and very clean. Stayed here with my family and I upgraded to the suite which has 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. Lots of room and a big work desk. Very comfortable beds and a good breakfast. It also has a water park connected to the hotel and is free if you are a Club Carlson member. Great location as it is close to shopping and resturants.

“Very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We've stayed here twice in the last 3 months, in a standard room and in a suite. Very nice and clean rooms. Beds are very comfortable. Internet is reliable and fast. Breakfast is better than most hotels. Location is convienient to everything in town. Waterpark was out of service during our last stay (broken heater) which was disappointing, though the hot tub was ok. Cozy lobby with cookies and reading library makes it feel comfortable like home. Only one negative issue: Housekeeping seems to clean vacated rooms only early in the morning, so if you sleep in or don't leave your room early they don't return to clean your room, restock towels, coffee and empty trash later for you. We even specifically requested housekeeping at noon on our second day without service and still did not get housekeeping services. So we went to the front desk for towels, toilet paper and coffee packets as needed. Other than our problem with housekeeping during our 3 day stay, it's a good place to stay in Gillette.

“Nice place to stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

We stayed here for one night. We had a two room suite which was nice since there was a TV in the living room area and one in the bedroom area. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Will stay here again.

“Nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

I stay here every 3 weeks now. Used to stay at the Hampton but the price here is 50.00 cheaper a night and the rooms are 95% as nice as the Hampton. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean. Much quieter than the Hampton as there is no door slamming at 3:00 AM. Breakfast is decent, location is awesome. Plenty of parking. Also have stayed at the adjacent Marriot Fairfield and this place is much nicer. Best value in Gillette as far as I'm concerned. Internet is very fast.

Room Tip: For 10.00 more choose the king suite if you have no kids. Nice Room!

“Charged for the waterpark when all other users were using for free”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

The general manager charged my family for the waterpark when every user in the waterpark was using the area for free. We were the ONLY family in the waterpark with wristbands (proof of purchase). When I complained to the general manager upon checkout, she refunded my admission (I didn't use the park) but not my children. She seemed unconcerned there was never an employee in the waterpark enforcing the rules or making certain no one is drowning. There was vomit on the side of the pool that wasn't cleaned up for the entire time I was in the area, which was a couple of hours. That would have taken an employee, of which there was none. When I mentioned all this to the general manager, she placed all blame on the adjacent hotel. Pretty low class, in my opinion.
