We had a wonderful two night stay at the Stone House, in large part because the hosts were so great. They gave us directions to an amazing Petroglyph site, told us where to get the best pie and soup, and directed us to the best place to buy Shoshone bead work, and they made sure we didn't miss the tremendous views on the way out.. And that's on top of great breakfasts, pleasant company, and a spotting scope in the living room so we could watch the wildlife.
Dubois is still a real western town, and if you are in the Yellowstone/Grand Teton area, it's well worth a trip just on its own.
