This is one of the best B&Bs my husband and I have stayed in. There was great attention to detail in the decor and the B&B was spotless. Breakfasts were tasty, healthy and satisfying.. The hosts were hospitable, helpful, and very accommodating. Sparta has a lot to do --bike trails, golf, Amish country, cranberry bogs and cheese stores are all close by. There is also an outlet mall a few miles away.

My husband and I stayed at the Franklin Victorian earlier this month. It was a nice, well cared for, nicely decorated, clean B&B. Our room (Bethany's) was comfortable with a nice sized bathroom. Breakfeast was great. Homemade chocolate chip cookies were available upstairs--nice touch. Nice robes too. The Innkeeper showed us around the Inn and gave us a brief history upon check-in. Good location. Would definately stay here again if in the Sparta area.

The FVBB is definitely one of the nicer B&Bs you'll stay in. It's especially accommodating to bicyclists. Splurge for the Franklin Suite; it's a great suite and not terribly expensive compared to similar suites we've stayed in. Breakfasts are outstanding. Innkeeper Jennifer Dunn is pleasant and quite helpful. The common areas are beautiful. Two minor critiques are: 1) little signs up all over the place constantly tell what you can/should do or not do, which are meant well to be sure but rubbed us the wrong way; and 2) the rooms are a bit too far on the frilly/old-tyme side for our tastes such that very few surfaces were available to put things down on and the eyes just needed a break after a while from all the decoration/stuff. These are nit-picky points, and on the whole, you are in for a deligthful experience there.

After a beautiful bike ride on the Elroy-Sparta trail we were happy to ride up to our beautiful accomodations. The house is stunning -- outfitted with gorgeous antiques and furniture. We poured ourselves a glass of wine and had some cheese as Jennifer, our hostess, showed us around the landmark home and then up to our lovely room.The inn-keepers here are very detailed. They run an organized, beautifully kept b&b with lots of thoughtful touches. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was perfect for a good soak. The house is quiet and peaceful.Breakfast was great -- hearty and healthy. We had baked grapefruit to start off with followed by a delicious spinich and sausage fritatta, fresh melon and a muffin. It was such a nice stay. It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend the Franklin.
