We stayed at Pheasant Park several times, but after our last stay, we decided to try other accommodations. Pheasant Park is a little off the beaten path of Sister Bay, but it only takes a couple minutes to get back on the path by car. Rates are very competitive. Amenities are adequate. Condo-resort floor plan was pretty typical. (We prefer this condo suite arrangement for traveling on vacation). The main reason we stopped staying at Pheasant Park was that our last visit it felt like the resort needed a little face lift. The carpet was dirty, and had one very large and unsightly stain right in the middle of the living area. The country decor seemed hopelessly out-dated. Given that the location isn't ideal and isn't near the bay, the resort needs something to set it apart. If it finds that "something", we may try it again. I check their website yearly to see if any renovations are planned.

My family and I came to Door County for the past several years and have always a stayed at Pheasant Park. We love this place. The front desk staff is always willing to help with any questions we may have. They made some very appreciated changes since the last time we stayed. The flat screen TVs are perfect for watching movies as a family. The pools are always a great place to relax. The entire staff always has a smile and are so friendly. I highly recommend this resort for family and even couples. it's nice to get away and yet feel so at home.

The location is great, the room configuration is great, the pools are great, but they haven't replaced the upholstry or cleaned their rooms seriously in years.

Our room was very nice and comfortable. I reduced the overall rating because I had critical work on my computer to do while I was there, and the wireless in the room was was inadequate and not dependable. As a result, I wasted hours of my time trying to finish what I needed to do. I was particularly irritated because I called ahead to make sure I would have a working wireless connection in my room. The strength of the wireless connection was so low (one bar), that I couldn't even check email. If I was able to get a signal at all, it constantly cut out. The hotel rebooted the router near my room once, and I had two bars strength for about 4 hours and then it went out again. There is a hotel business room for guests with one computer that I also used, but I always had a long wait because other guests were using it. This really spoiled my entire trip because we were only there for a few days and I had to devote way too much time to trying to find a working computer connection.
