Recent weekend stay to take advantage of nearby Granite Peak Ski area. Having stayed in the area many times over the years on business, this was a leisure stay. Booked (2) double family suites which were oversized rooms seperated by French doors. Pull out sofa and seperate flat scrren tv's were great for this group. Flat screen TV's in bathrooms as well. Rooms have been updated since I last stayed here a year or so ago and were very nice. Fridges and micros in the room as well. Attached Green Mill restaurant had great food at reasonable prices and service was very friendly. Front desk staff was great throughout our stay. Hotel is 5 miles from Granite Peak exit. Small continental breakfast can get overwhelming real quick if crowded. Green Mill also serves breakfast if you want something hot. Location is just South of Wausau. While these rooms were courtesy of "Priority Club" points, this hotel is great and about $20 a night less than Courtyard, Hampton and Jefferson Street. Hotel also has a pool, hot tub and very small workout room. No reason not to stay here.

Very nice hotel with extremely comfortable beds and nicely appointed room. There was a big wedding party going on so I was afraid of noise, but it was very quiet. The pool was great as I had visitors with a small child and the kiddie pool was a huge hit with her. The only thing I might have wished for would have been a better, less carb, breakfast, but that wont keep me from coming back! Bravo Holiiday Inn Rothchild!!!

We stayed here over a weekend. The hotel is a popular place. There seemed to be multiple groups staying over saturday night. However, we found our room to be very quiet. Our room did have a common wall with the pool. I would suggest asking for an outside room as we had quite a chlorine smell in our room and we could hear noise from the pool when it was open. Otherwise, everything was clean, the included breakfast was good and I would recommend this hotel.

Management is nonexistent. Restaurant workers and desk workers could care less. They are rude, and untrained. Heaven forbid you have a problem with something crucial in your room. They will "call someone in from home" who never shows up.

I am writing this in the heat of August, with no AC in the room, having called the front desk about it several hours ago. They said they would call the maintenance person in to fix it but when I call them they say he has not returned the call.

Lousy hotel.
