“Just average - don't go out of your way”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

It's just and "OK" hotel for the money. They charge you to park, no breakfast (except an apple and a bottle of water - IF you get up before 7:00 am). Next to a beautiful harbor, but the doors leading to it are all locked - you have to go clear around the building to get to it. The sidewalk was icy, but even after we told the staff they did nothing about it. I would not stay there again. The rooms are comfortable and the housekeepers are friendly - but for the money it's not worth it.

We appreciate you taking a moment to let know about about your stay. I apologize that you felt the value of the hotel was less than you had hoped. Being a full service hotel, we have several breakfast options including the onsite Chancery restaurant and Lighthouse Cafe. We do offer a complimentary Grab N Run breakfast that includes fruit, granola, and coffee for our early travelers on the go, as you mentioned. We will address the ice on the sidewalks with the city grounds people. The Harbourwalk is not owned by the hotel but we agree that its not safe to have ice on the ground. Thank you again for your feedback.

“Love the location, mediocre rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Love the view on the harbor, and close to downtown. Prices are usually reasonable. Rooms appear that they were updated a few years ago and are starting to look a little run down. They gave sleep# beds, not a fan of them. I now know which numbers are not for sleeping. Parking is across the street and is $1.50

“Yuck, Sleep Number!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

On our mini honeymoon in September, my husband and I chose to road trip through Wisconsin. On our trip to Lake Michigan, we were looking for a nice place to stay near the water. This hotel had a great harbor view and very cool boats right out our window. We loved the very clean room with pull-out sofa, and huge bathroom.
Worst part of these Raddisons are the sleep number beds. It seems like they never stay "pumped up" all night long, and you're sleeping on a hard board.
We didn't eat at the hotel, but instead walked two blocks west to a nice bar and grill on the downtown, that had an amazing mac & cheese!
I'd go back for the supper uptown, but I wouldn't stay here again because of the beds.

Thanks for your review and congratulations on your wedding! We are so happy that you choose to spend a little time here in Racine and at the Radisson. I am so sorry that your king sleep number bed was not functioning correctly. Please know that we are staffed 24 hours a day and can fix guest issues on the spot. Also, if you would like to come back in the future, we do have 9 rooms in the hotel without sleep number beds. We welcome you back anytime.

“A Nice Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

My husband and I stayed overnight here due to a business dinner party we attended in the area. We don't live in town and didn't want to have drive the long distance back to our home so we chose this hotel. It's right on the Racine Harbor. We requested a harbor view, refrigerator and enough towels, etc for two people. All our requests were met. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room. It was very spacious also. We would definitely stay again. The only thing that would have made it better was a little more lighting in the room. I realize everyone is cutting back but it would have been nice to have a more light.

“Nice Weekend by the Lake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Along with another couple, my wife and I stayed here in mid-October. While the physical plant may be a little dated, we found our rooms and the public areas to be bright, freshly painted and well maintained. The front desk staff and the restaurant personnel were friendly and helpful. They were the only staff we encountered in this quiet stay.

We were a little disappointed to find that, although we had asked for two king bed rooms with lake views, we got queens instead. The significant difference for us was seating. Each room had one easy chair and then a desk chair that was not terribly comfortable. It was surprising that they could not meet our requests on what appeared to be a very slow weekend.

We had also been lead to believe that the rooms were equipped with "Sleep Number" beds, but that turned out to not be the case for us.

The only available parking is a public garage across the street where you are charged $1.50 each time you enter. This was not a problem for us, since were generally in and out just once each day. On the plus side the parking was very convenient! Be sure to have singles and /or change handy.

We had breakfasts in the hotel restaurant 2 days and they were good and also reasonably priced. If you just want juice, coffee and a roll, the coffee bar in the lobby is a bargain. We found some excellent local restaurants including Salute', an Italian place about 3 blocks away. If you like Italian, you'll love it!

Racine is old, but did not appear to be particularly depressed. Much of it is picturesque and the area around the waterfront is really quite attractive. All-in-all, we had a wonderful time there.

Room Tip: Rooms on the water are fun. They overlook a marina that is probably very busy during prime boating s...
