It was Thanksgiving and going home for the holidays was important, especially since all of the siblings, spouses and nephews were finally getting together ... all at once. No room at the inn, so to speak. We drew the short straw and had to find someplace else to stay.

Super 8 was the closest place available. We thought we'd be missing out on the fun of family time not being at Mom and Dad's with everyone else. Well, LUCKY us! Not only was did we actually have a nice room to sleep in but the beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We got sleep and didn't have to sleep on the floor with the nephews. AND we didn't have to line up to take numbers for the bathrooms at Mom & Dad's house.

The nicest thing was when we returned the second night to the Super 8 and the manager offered us some of their Thanksgiving meal! We declined ... but it was still very generous of him.

Arrived at Super 8 at about 1pm... On Thursday after an all night drive. Room was ready for check in (as there was only like two other cars even there.). Was able to rest in the room as it was clean and very quiet.

Continental Breakfast was light with a toaster for bread, english muffins and bagels. Butter, Jellies and cream cheese also. Some small doughnuts and two cereal choices; also milk, apple and orange juices.

Phillips is a small quaint far North town so dinnig is at a minimum. There is an A&W on the North side of town. That is it for those that need chains. There are numerous supper clubs, and bars that serve great food in and around the town.

Room was comfortable and well kept, motel seemed to be fairly new and clean. Great for our needs while in town for funeral...
