First, I have never been compelled to write a bad review until now. This AmericInn is a rip off & not worth your money. We stayed New Years Weekend for $92 a night. The weekend before we stayed over Christmas at a Hampton Inn for $72 a night. No comparison! This AmericInn had double beds (who has double beds anymore?) you could feel the springs through the mattress, the linens are old & the room, while clean, is on the par of a Super 8. No fridge, no microwave. The free breakfast had soured waffle batter, packaged donuts, cereal, yogurt & not much else. The pool was cold & not filled up! (It's Dec/Jan in northern WI!) The toddler pool was luke warm but the hot tub was really nice. The decor is very nice & cozy & the Christmas decorations were outstanding. However, I feel like for an area with no other options for hotels, I was being ripped off. My in laws live up there & it's a poorer area so I don't know how they justify their pricing. Their pricing is on par with a Hampton Inn, Fairfield or Holiday Inn Express - all of which boast superior bedding, fridge & microwave in the room, warm pools, & HOT breakfast which is different each day. Oh you also only get shampoo & bar soap in the room at the AmericInn - no conditioner (with a pool?) or lotion. Clearly this hotel is Super 8 quality charging a much higher price because it's the only decent hotel in town - shameful. We used to think AmericInn's were good hotels - now, if we have a choice we will always choose somewhere else.

I've stayed for two days and found the hotel comfortable, rooms are big enough, you have continental breakfast, big TV, internet. It is well located and didn't have any kind of problems, seems more like a big cabin than a hotel, so I made me almost forget that I was at a Hotel. It is located nearby a walmart store, and I was able to use hotel's microwave one day.

I would not recommend this particular Ladysmith Americinn to anyone!! We have stayed at numerous other Americinn's and always been satisifed with our stay. The front desk clerk that checked us out was rude and had zero customer service skills. We had an issue with a room vochure and instead of working with us regarding the matter, she called the local police!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are a professional couple that travels frequently and we have never experienced anything like this!!!! It was very degrading to us and we will NEVER use this hotel again!! My recommendation to anyone traveling through the Ladysmith area would be to avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are new and exceptionally clean. Very nice pool area, even a small indoor pool for the kids. Only complaint would be that the mattress could be a little softer.
