“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

We arrived at 10 p.m. with snow covered roads and had no trouble finding the house. If you write down the directions from their website and look for road signs you will be fine. The owners greeted us and were very friendly. There were 3 adults in our room and we found the room to be the perfect size (one full bed and one twin) and very clean. Breakfast the next morning was a mix of fruits, cereals, hot biscuits, and a variety of drinks (teas, coffee, juice, and milk). It was not extravagant, but for the price it is similar to what I would eat on a normal day. We enjoyed watching the birds from their giant window in the kitchen. The owners are knowledgable about area attractions. White grass (skiing) and The Purple Fiddle (food and live music) are both close and very entertaining. The ladybug is not a resort with extensive pampering, but there is a warm room, comfortable/clean bed, simple yet tasty breakfast, and great hospitality.

“Modest, comfortable and warm hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We were planning to tent camp but rain, early snow and cold temperatures caused us to book here.
We were looking for something very basic. And then we stayed when the weather improved because we were so relaxed. The 5 star rating is for the friendly warm hospitality of the proprietor.
Don’t expect hotel quality furnishings and service, more like staying with a friend.
Note credit cards not accepted.
Substantial cold breakfast – cereal, bagels, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice (just like home).
Shared bathroom for 4 rooms. No problem when we were there since just us most days and one other the other days.
All bedrooms rooms on second floor. Two with two beds – one double and one single. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. TV and wireless internet connection.
Call for current price since website is out of date.
Check directions (particularly if arriving after dark). From Davis going north on 32, turn left after gas (Sunoco) station (at blue sign for LadyBug B&B on right). Turn right at the first street (small sign for B&B on right at intersection, only about 2 feet tall and wood so not obvious). B&B is 7th house (houses widely spaced) on the right with sign in front. Light on sign after dark.

“Great value and service”

Arrived at the Ladybug very late Friday night and stayed until Sunday, and was pleased with my experience at the Bed and Breakfast. The breakfasts consisted of fruit, cold cereals, hot teas, milk and hot biscuits -- nothing fancy, but as it puts on the web-site and on their brochures, it isn't meant to be. The room we stayed in was carpeted and had two beds -- cozy with plenty of blankets, although it was quite chilly on one morning and warm the next. The bathroom was clean and the sinks and bathtub were generous in size.

The two dogs inside were really cute!

“A Sweet Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2006

While a bit out of the way, this B&B was cute. The daughter who ran it was extremely friendly and talkative, and the room was comfortable. They made biscuits in the morning for us when we woke up. Overall, a pleasant experience, and I would go back again.

“Horrendous”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2006

I would absolutely not recommend this B&B. Innkeepers are not very welcoming or friendly, all guests from 4 rooms and the innkeepers share 1 bathroom, and breakfast is cold cereal and fruit. We were put in a bedroom that had to be the innkeepers bedroom as their were medicines in the headboard, all the closests were padlocked, and it smelled of moth balls. Although we had made reservations 1+ weeks in advance and arrived later in the evening, our room was not ready when we arrived and we had to wait while sheets were changed. I would say it's worth the time and money to look elsewhere for a B&B, as it's a lovely area to stay around.
