For a long weekend getaway, it's perfect! We were looking for seclusion, a wood burning fireplace and heart shaped jacuzzi, and Smoke Hole delivered! Probably because we stayed off season, we were one of the only people there, so it was quiet. The cabin backed up to this beautiful mountain view and little creek. The grounds were clean, the workers friendly. We drove around and loved the scenery (mountains, river, caverns). The only downside was that the hot water heater wasn't too good so we didn't enjoy the cuzzi as much as would have liked (the water got cold fast), but otherwise a nice romantic getaway.

We are so glad that you had a wonderful experience --other than the hot water. I do apologize. I would like you to email info@smokehole.com to let us know which cabin number you were in as we do have the largest hot water heaters that you can purchase for the space (52 gal) which has 2 hot water elements and occasionally one element will go out which in return lessons the amount of hot water available. Hope that you can come back to join us in the summer when things warm up and the property is in full bloom. We also hope to have our new giftshop open by Memorial Day!!
