We love this place. And what's not to love. Entrance to the community cross-country ski trails is half a block away, there's a hot tub and hot chocolate for apres ski relaxation, there are usually deer outside your window in the morning, the breakfast is excellent, the cabins are quiet and cozy, and the rooms nicely appointed but don't go overboard. We've stayed here a couple times to ski in Winthrop and always enjoy it. Dan and Sally are friendly and can help you out with answers to all sorts of questions and suggestions on where to go and what to do.
Breakfast consists of an egg dish, fresh baked scones and muffins, cereal, granola, bagels, juice, and waffles with syrup if you really need the carbs for skiing. There are cookies and hot cider in the afternoon, and you can linger around the comfy lobby/dining area to enjoy the fire or hang out and chat.
If I had to come up with one complaint, it would be that the wi-fi signal isn't very good in the cabins, but frankly, i'd rather be thinking about skiing instead of email when I'm there so I'm ok with a less that perfect signal in my room. Oh yes, there are also DVDs and VHS tapes for those who want to catch a movie at night.
