A real find! Nice people, beautiful setting. Very clean, well laid-out, even has wireless internet for free and dish television. The breakfast is fresh, hot, and the waffles are wonderful. Dave, the owner, is full of information on eating places, sights to see, what to do. Off the beaten path for most people, but well worth the effort. Pet the dog! And don't tell anyone about this place, please. Keep it a secret.

We stayed at the Trout Lake Motel both before and after our climb of Mt. Adams. The rooms were large and very comfortable and had wonderful firm beds. Breakfast (fruit, cereals, pastries, bagels, muffins and sweet potato waffles) was served starting at 6:30, which was perfect since we had to meet our climbing group at 7.

The owners were delightful and helped us with restaurant suggestions. There's not much in the area but we had a great dinner at Serenity (right across the road; not open on Sundays).

Highly recommended.

This place is a real jewel, we've been back four years. The rooms are charming, clean and comfortable. Even our little dog enjoys her stay. The grounds are beautiful with hammocks, a creek and serenity abounds. The rest of our family camps in the dirt just down the road while we sleep in a wonderful bed. Don't pass it by, it's a destination in itself. You won't be sorry and you will be back!

We planned to white water raft during our summer road trip to Washington state. Wet Planet WWR suggested lodging at the Trout Lake Motel. The owners used to be landscapers and wow...were the grounds beautiful. Included was a hammock hanging under some shade trees, near a babbling creek AND looking up at beautiful Mt. Adams! The rooms were perfect, the hot tub was a blessing and the breakfast was wonderful, (ever have sweet potoato waffles?) After breakfast the owners lent us flashlights with directions to the ice caves and natural bridges. This place was out of the way but well worth it!
