I stayed for 38 days from early Nov. to mid Dec. My stay was very enjoyable. I'm in the business of selling mattress's and the bed was a lot more comfortable than I expected and have experierenced in other establishments. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful in all my needs and requests. I would like to highlight one employee in praticular. She was one of the cleaning staff and I could definately tell when she cleaned my room. She should impart some of her techniques to all the staff. Her name is Charlene.

My wife and I stayed at the Red Lion River Inn in Spokane and we have enjoyed the property quite a few time. If you have a pet there are a number of rooms that have sliding doors that access grassy areas for your pets to do their business. There is another Red Lion about four blocks away that is well suited for families with children. This hotel is also good for pets there is not any rooms with direct access to the outside. If you have never stayed in a Red Lion Hotel give them a try. I have never had any real issues with any of the many ones I have stayed at.

I will be traveling to Spokane regularly and decided to give the Red Lion a try for two nights. Positives: the per night rate was good compared to the other local hotels. The room was clean, bed comfortable and quiet (though ice cold when I first got there because the heat had been off); onsite restaurant was decent and prices were reasonable; front desk staff were friendly. Computer and printer in the lobby to print your boarding pass. Negatives: first the lower hallway was closed and there is no elevator. You were detoured up the stairs down the upper hallway, back down the stairs and continue the trek to the far wings. The hotel has a sprawling layout and rooms in the back wings are a bit of a trek. The room has a space for a microwave and refrigerator but none are in the room. You may be able to request one if you want. The biggest negative for me was the internet connection. You have the option of upgrading to high speed for $5 a nigh, but my connection kept flickering and wouldn't stay connected long enough to even do that. I finally gave up. The front desk couldn't help and transferred me to the internet customer service who were no help either.

Shuttle from the airport came in about 10 min. Conference room was temperature comfortable. Bathroom in room was very tight. Had to sit sideways on the seat or close the door completely. It's always nice to have microwave and frig in room. Shuttle back to airport was efficient and helpful driver.
