Unfortunately, as funny as some of the previous reviews are, they are true! We booked this hotel, purely as a halfway stopover between Cascades and Glacier and, in fairness, we just booked the cheapest hotel we could find. With this one, you do essentially get what you pay for, which is largely nothing! The hotel is very tired, I think with a lot of ABVI places, they have just bought a rundown hotel in a town just purely to have a presence there, you could just have easily knocked this one down. There are good points, contrary to other people, we found the staff here to be very pleasant and helpful, they probably deserve a better place to work. We also slept incredibly well, we asked to be on the top floor, and maybe because you could count the other guests on one hand, we had a very quiet night! It is also easy to get to town from here, about a 10 minute drive and Spokane is a nice place to walk around.
However, when we entered the room initially, there were around 30 dead flies in there and a peculiar stain on the bedside table that may have been blood or sweet and sour sauce. The bed itself was fine tho, clean as a whistle and it just looked as tho they had changed the bed and not bothered with anything else.
The breakfast also, was a complete waste of time, basically two types of cereal and a few rounds of bread if you fancy toast. The coffee was the most watered down I have seen in my life, maybe one teaspoon of coffee to a litre of water would sum it up. Was also very untidy too, half of the cereal was on the floor and most of the available pots were already in the wash bowl. On our second morning, there was no butter in the hotel either, so we couldnt even have the toast. There was a bonus however, with the appearance of around 200 hard boiled eggs in the fridge, I managed to limit myself to just the 1!!!
Overall, there's no way I'd stay here again, there's no point, but if you do just need a nights rest in between places, then these hotels are generally less than $50 a room, so you haven't got much to lose!
