we have been staying at this resort for over 8 years. i can honestly say that yes the rooms are old but this is a privately owned (not chain) place. i always get whatever i need there and have even been allowed to stay later on check out when needed. alot of guest unfortunatley trash the rooms. maybe the unhappy ones should go elsewhere.

This was a great resort, perfect for the entire family. The rooms are dated but the wood fireplace, private balcony, and kitchen were wonderful amenities as well as the private beach access. This resort offers so many outdoor activities including a playground for the kids, tennis court, volleyball court, and more. Well worth the value. It's a short drive to Long Beach approximately 15 mins which was even better since we went rodeo weekend. The resort is also very quiet and the staff were great. Definitely plan to stay there again next year!

We choose a different place to stay each year that we go to the penninsula. The best thing about this one was its view and proximity to the beach. Sure the rooms are a little dated but this is a seaside resort--weather and time can be rough on a place like this. We stayed in a suite with two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa so there was lots of space for the family. The grounds are wonderful and it is a nice short walk to town. I would definitely stay here again!

We choose this place because they accepted dogs and was very close to the beach. Also, the room they show on the website and description was pleasant; however, upon arrival the room was nasty. Old dirty carpet, holes in the linoleum, bedspread smelled, mold in the bathroom and shower curtain. In the kitchen the utensils were dented and cracked, the toaster only worked on one side and two burners on the stove did not work. The housekeeping was terrible! Did not make the bed, did not vacuum, did not leave daily coffee packets . . . . I could go on and on! Yes, the grounds are beautiful, but the service and rooms are horrible!!!! I WILL NOT stay here again!
