“Dirty and Smelly”

We booked a non-smoking King room but got the front "suite" which was not cleaned and smelled horrible, because the lady in the room we booked didn't move out when she should have. There were no other rooms so we were given the "suite" at no extra charge, but nothing worked and it was horribly dirty as two guys had been living there for two months and just moved out. It's the last suite to be cleaned each day so it ISN'T because it's too big, there are two bathrooms and the housekeeper is TIRED. We had paid for two days and got locked out the second day just as we were coming in to eat and go to a movie which we almost missed because of the mix up. The front desk people try, but with dirt, grime and smoke smell in addition to having everything stripped out of the space, it was a bad advertisement for the Econo Lodge. Too bad... we'll go somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: Best rooms are south east near the office, but the smokers stand outside your door or open window (n...

“This is what you pay for hotel”

The hotel room had a horrible smell included bed sheets and everything. The bathroom looked unpleasing to me because the bath tub was like all old and had repairs done on it but looked like a messy repair job. The continental breakfast was cold and horrible. If there is no option then stay at this hotel other wise don't!!!!

“Just say NO!”

The one and only good thing about this place was the woman at the front desk. She was very nice. The room was disquistingly run down, burn holes in the mattress (non smoking room) and just all around yukkk! Did I mention the smell? No doubt travelling without a reccommend is a bad idea...... If you're looking for a room around Hoquium ... just save yourself the suffering and sleep in your car....

“Good Economy Choice Among Econo Lodges”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Stayed at a few Econo Lodges on my trip to the NW, and this one of the better ones. The desk staff was friendly and helpful (good tip: eat at the 8th Street Ale House within walking distance of the hotel). The area was a bit alarming--coming in from south 101, the area became less attractive and a bit unpleasant, but Hoquiam itself seems nice enough. The price was great (cheapest of the entire trip) and the room was large and clean though not pristine (plaster marks on the wall, straight pins in the drapes); it was relatively quiet and functional. Would stop by again.

“Good stay on the way to rainforsest”

This motel is a very good stay on the way to Quinault rainforest. We hat a coupon and got a great rate. Quiet room.Old but clean. New carpet on floor. Did our laundry and went to the mexican across the street and had a very good dinner. Continental breakfast in the morning at the motel. Just across the street, at Swansons you get all the food and stuff you need to travel on to Quinault.
