This is a lovely Bed and Breakfast on the outskirts of town, set in 20+ acres of nicely done grounds. The house sets on top of a hill and the grounds around it are nicely landscaped while the lower area is pretty much native growth. It is a great place to stroll in (we saw deer in the evening). The rooms are very clean, large if not huge, and nicely decorated. The breakfasts are good and quite filling. The hosts, George and Rhoda are very helpful and a lot of fun to talk to. There is a swimming pool as well as a pool table and other recreational items available. We had a very good sleep and a relaxing stay.

George and Rhoda's lovingly run B&B is the one I measure all other B&Bs against -- they are truly an example to follow. My fiance and I have stayed there twice. Here's what I liked:

George and Rhoda are incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting you like family with a hug upon your arrival. They help with all the details of your stay, giving you all the help you need getting around, as well as privacy. They keep track of each detail. For instance, when my fiance and I stayed there the second time, they remembered our quirky dietary requirements: two vegetarians, I eat eggs and my fiance doesn't.

-Incredible gardens and beautiful grounds around the house; you are near the highway but would have no idea. Ask George for a tour of his garden. A lot of breakfast food is grown in the garden.

-Stories from George and Rhoda -- they have been doing a lot of international travel recently.

-The food! It is truly a production: for breakfast, we were served homemade granola, fresh berries from the garden, tea, and our choice of 7 different juices. Next, we were served an egg-cheese-tomatoes (again from the garden) torte, an egg-free torte for my fiance, freshly baked bread w/ homemade peach jam and cinnamon bites, as well as potatoes! Finally, we were given a 'palette cleanser': one of about 10 sorbet flavors! I know that the food has been given many recognitions/awards, and Rhoda's recipe books fly off the shelves.

-Area is peaceful, beautiful, cute downtown
