I was fortunate enough to stay in this resort over the holidays and I have to say I had an absolute wonderful time! The room was in tremendous condition and I enjoyed every second of it. It was such a great feeling to wake up to that view of the beach every morning. The location is perfect and there were so many different activities for us to take part in during our stay. The people were friendly and the service was great! The manager Bill Mitchell was very helpful and did everything he could to ensure that we had everything we could possibly need. I honestly could not have asked for anything more and I can't wait to make it back a second time. If you plan on visiting Virginia Beach, this is definitely a resort you would want to stay in. A+ experience!

I have been to VA Beach many times but have never even noticed Ocean Sands Resort. How I have missed out! I requested the top floor (14th) and the view was spectacular, especially the sunrise. Friendly staff, comfy bed and spacious room made this business trip almost pleasure!

This was a last minute, end of our travel season vacation for my husband and I. Initially, I had oppositions about staying at a small, older property. This was the only thing available from RCI in Virginia Beach at the time we wanted to travel. The reviews I read here after booking The Oceans Sands Resort assured me that I made a great decision. The service was great! The manager, Bill Mitchell, was approachable, friendly and very helpful. The front desk employees, maintenance personnel and cleaning staff were very friendly as well. Bill Richards, the van driver, shared his knowledge of the area with us on two of the van excursions I took. The location is perfect. The ocean views from the fourteen floor were stunning. The pillowtop mattress was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the renovations very good. The rooms are small but everything is well appointed and good use is made of the entire space in the one bedroom units. The resort is in the center of the boardwalk and near almost everything. Free parking, free washers and dryers, and free computer use are an added bonus. The Manager's Cheese and Wine reception was a nice touch. We will definitely try to stay here again on my next trip to Virginia Beach.

While this hotel is only rated 3/5, my wife and I found it to be a nice surprise. Oceanfront on the boardwalk, this old hotel has been renovated. The one bedroom unit is small but nicely done. For two people or two with small kids, it is perfect. More than 2 adults would be crowded. The hotel does not have many amenities but for the price, it is a good stay oceanfront.
