Our stay at the Best Western in Staunton was nice.
The pool was pleasantly warm and very nice. The staff
was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, but best
to get there by 9:00 to get everything. They could use a
breakfast room, as breakfast is in the lobby with tables
in the hall.
The room were clean and very nice. Convenient location
just off I-81 with several restaurants close by in a safe location.
There was no charge for our small dog, who received several
treats from the staff and was fussed over.
We would gladly stay there again.
We never heard any trains, but had a room in the front of the buildings
on the 2nd floor.

I have stayed here several times on my way to the east coast and have always had a good experience. This time the newly updated pool was open and it adds a nice bonus to an already pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious and clean and, although the beds are more accurately described as full, they are comfortable. Being a somewhat older hotel, a few cosmetic touch ups would be a plus. I have stayed in rooms in the front and back of this property and have not been overtly effected by the train noise. The breakfast is above average. William at the front desk is professional and friendly as was all the staff I encountered. This will remain my choice when passing through Staunton.

Stopped here on our way to Florida. The room was very clean with a nice fridge and microwave. Front desk staff was very helpful. They advertise a pretty extensive complimentary breakfast. We had to leave before it started but the gentleman at the front desk loaded us up with fruit, cereal, milk, coffee and a sausage breakfast sandwich for the road. There's a Cracker Barrel and Texas Steakhouse wiithin walking distance. Only downside was that the internet was not working, and according to the front desk, it sounded like a pretty frequent occurence. We had a coupon from one of the books you find at the welcome centers along the interstate so the total cost was only $60.

Clean and very friendly. Ask for a room on the side away from the railway tracks. Friends who stayed on the side of the tracks were woken three times by loud trains.
