We have stayed here 14 times since this hotel opened in the late eighties, because there are no 4 or 5 star alternatives in Perth right on the beach. The rooms have been refurbished a couple of times, although they really look tired. The bathrooms have never been updated since 1986. Two out of three restaurants have closed down and there is only one buffet restaurant left. The shopping arcade is deserted and most shops have been vacant for many years. Even McDonalds has gone! This place used to be good in the nineties when it was operated by Radisson. In our opinion there is only three reasons to stay there: the spectacular views, the white beach and the beautiful Indian Ocean.

Big hotel which works well, comfy and clean with a nice pool. Nothing glamourous but good enough and would stay there again. Just watch the breakfast cost $28 for an OK buffet. You can get Bfst included deals I believe.

Despite reading reviews about the tired Rendezvous at Scarborough it was actually a very pleasant stay.
Ocean view rooms are great and very spacious and clean.
Beds are fantastic and super size.
Secure car park at $10 per day is also good value.
Actually found it hard to fault apart from minor issues and would stay again.

Started our first holiday in Australia at the rendezvous Hotel Scarborough - what a glorious start. I could not believe the location on a magnificent beach. The only high rise building in the area - we had a balcony overlooking the sea. The room was an excellent size, a great bath and shower and a very large and comfortable bed. I couldn't fault it. The restaurant was a bit expensive but outside on the beach were a large number of free barbeques and opposite the hotel a Coles supermarket so we bought fabulous steaks and salads and cooked for ourselves. The local buses stop outside the hotel and we used them to visit Perth and Freemantle. A free bus picked us up to take us to Hillary's boat yard for a trip over to Rottnest. The staff were helpful - only mistake I made was staying for only 5 nights.
