“Wonderful retreat”

We shared a wonderful two days at the cottage in a lovely setting with stunning vista. The cottage has almost everything you could wish for in a retreat from the normal hum-drum of life with comfortable facilities. A great place for an anniversary getaway. Our great hosts were welcoming, yet unobtrusive, and they produce a great bottle of red [Seize The Day rose]. And Appellation restaurant was superb. We want to return! Anne and Ken.

“A perfect setting”

We had a very enjoyable stay for two nights in early January. The setting is beautiful, we enjoyed barbecues in the outdoor kitchen looking at the sun set over the vines, and walks in the mornings in the stunning countryside right from the front door. Each evening we enjoyed a bottle of the host's wine - they had even supplied a decanter!
Martin particularly enjoyed his tour of the vineyard with the owner, Peter. I took the opportunity for another bath looking through the french doors to the vines!
This is a very well looked after and thoughtfully prepared cottage by great hosts who were available if needed but left us to enjoy ourselves in complete privacy. We had a wonderful time and regret we don't live closer to visit again.

Hi Sally,
We are glad you had a great time in the Barossa and in particular the cottage. Peter really enjoys sharing his vineyard passion with guests, so it's nice to know Martin enjoyed the experience. Don't forget we are only an hour from Adelaide airport and we would love to have you back again to stay one day ! All the best, Sharyn & Peter

Despite not being able to attend Sharyn and Peter were absolutely wonderful in their approach to resolving the matter. Their patience and friendly conduct was deeply appreciated in a stressful time. Look forward so much to actually being there.

“Tranquility (with the best Rose in town!)”

My husband and I stayed at Seppeltsfield cottage for 4 nights over New Year. It was one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed. Highlights were; lying in the huge classic bath with the doors opened out towards the vines, with a glass of chilled rose (Seize the Day do an awesome drop of Rose!), picking free tomatoes and herbs from the garden, complete peacefulness and tranquility to recharge our batteries. Sharyn was the perfect host - very accommodating and goes above and behind to make sure we had the best possible time. We will definitely be back. Wendy & Stuart

Hi Wendy and Stuart,
Yes, the Rosé goes down a treat, especially in the warm weather you experienced! It was great that you enjoyed the tomatoes from the garden, you will have to come back when the figs are ripe! (The cherries are ready in November!).
Cheers

“Quintessential Barossa”

My wife and I make a pilgrimage to Oz every other year for the Barossa Vintage Festival. We've had our eye on Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage as a place to stay for many years but we've usually been too late with our bookings to get in. After staying with Sharyn and Peter this year, I understand why it sells out so quickly. The cottage is meticulously restored and set right in the "Seize the Day" vineyard. Sunsets on the vines while having a glass of shiraz on the veranda cannot be described and should be on everyone's "bucket list." The hosts provide wonderful service but have that keen sense of how to maintain the guests' privacy...a rare but appreciated skill. The location is a perfect point to access all the Barossa vineyards and vintage activities. Book early for sure.

Thanks for the great comments guys! Only 12 months to the next Vintage Festival - we'll have a Sparkling Shiraz made by then - love to share a bottle with you both!
Cheers
