First off I must say that I have stayed at this resort many times over the last several years. This resort has changed management and ownership a few times since I have been going to it , but the staff has pretty much remained the same for several years.
The rooms are all good but the ocean front ones have an awesome view.
First let me say that this resort is not for those that need to be entertained constantly by the staff , it is a VERY small place with only 48 rooms and can at times be deathly quiet around the resort , even when there are lots of guests.
If you want to lay around and relax with a good book or go off resort a lot like I do then this may be the place for you. The staff are all very friendly and you will know them all by name in a day or two and they can't do enough for you.
The food is ok nothing special and not a lot of variety but what they serve is good and you have choices of 3 diff hot items at dinner.
The beach is good although the sand is course here and not the fine sand of the other Cayo Coco beaches , there is also a drop off unlike the other resorts and therefore not kid friendly like the shallow waters of the others.
It is a great adult spot even though kids are welcome as there are not many that kids that come and if they do they are usually very young.
There are construction workers from abroad and their families that stay here and are all very nice people that I have gotten to know over the last few years. Some have new babies and are a pleasure to be around.
It is a short walk next door to the spa which is amazing and a must visit. You may also walk to Playa Prohibida and have lobster or fish or just enjoy the beach and music.
If you can entertain yourself and are NOT looking for a party place but more a set back and relax spot this may be for you.
To me the name out front matters not it's the people within that count.
