Whatever you do - do not book this hotel. Laterooms clearly stated that it was not payable in advance, and cancellable. The following day they took £400 without authorisation. Each time I phone, the manager isn't there - this has been ongoing for over a week now and staff have no clue how to deal with a complaint. Totally unproffesional way to run a business! Will be seeking legal advice now.

we arrived from norfolk as we was taking our son into london for the day,the man at desk was polite and took us to our room,well my heart sank big time,first look one double bed one single,the room was dirty there was a frigde in the room which im not sure why,it was dirty and mouldy inside.The tv sat upon this which what we read from what was ment to be at this hotel should of been sky tv but no..The bedroom was dirty the paint work wasnt very nice at all,we had stains on the double bed quilt,i felt really dirty just being there.The bathroom was okish not great but we had shower and toilet.This hotel has four houses and we was in the one through the court yard,the hall stairs and landing are filthy,doesnt look like the carpets ever been cleaned.After we had been out for the day i did go and complain,told them that i wasnt happy bout the state of the room all i got back was well this is only a 2 star hotel,personally i wouldnt give it any stars.I feel this hotel is ither a half way house or for people to go when thay dont have anywhere to live.We will never go there again it was awfull.I have got photos and passing them on to last minute.com

Hassle free cheap clean hotel,friendly staff,only quibble ,they didn't sell bottled water.

I stayed her for 3 nights in July and found it to be ideal for my particualr needs. Yes the room was basic, but was absolutely spotless on my arrival and on each day after that. Bed was very comfortable but could have done with better pillows. Brand new shower had been installed into the bathroom room and again was spotlessly clean each day. Plenty of tea & coffee avaliable in room although I had to put kettle on floor to plug in as I couldn't find a plug near the table it was on.
Breakfast was ok if not spectacular (would rather have Bacon than Turkey rashers, but guessing that that is for owners religius beliefs so understand why), but beware the times during weekdays which, if you are not on a business trip and out before 9am, might mean you miss the breakfast sitting (I did on the Friday).
My only minor quibbles would be that the pillows were old and flat and needed replacing and that my room (No:17) was a little bit noisey with people (staff included) seeming to forget that someone was trying to sleep in the room.
All in all though very happy with it for the reason (HV Festival in Victoria Park) & amount I paid. If festival is on again next year (& Olympics doesn't send prices soaring) I would certainly stay again.
