.We booked via the Hotels web site and received instant confirmation. We paid 120E per night for a four night stay which included breakfast in the price. There was no option to decline breakfast although I now note that the rate is 94E plus breakfast at 13E per person which equates to 120E. We normally do not eat a large breakfast so if given the option we would have just taken the room. The breakfast was typical but adequate, a good selection of fruits was a bonus. However the coffee was terrible, must have been instant coffee in a large urn. They should do better on this apect. The staff were outstanding very friendly and helpful, they made a difference to our stay. The room third floor with garden view was very clean comfortable bed and nice balcony. Very good shower. Some noise transfer from adjoing rooms mainly plumbing. Also the window has a metal roll up shutter which doesmake quite a bit of noise going up and down. If the adjoining rooms put theirs up or down you will certainly be awakened. However other than these couple of critisms we enjoyed our stay and would book again. Its a great location on the waters edge and only a 5 minutes walk via the seashore to the centre of Cagaques

looks lovely from the outside but don't be fooled - this hotel s hugely disappointing. The rooms have been crammed in so you end up in a tiny odd-shaped box with zero character (not even any paintings on the walls) as if you are in a bad student hall. The room smelt bad and after a day we realised it is because the cleaners use a strong disinfectant. The staff were unfriendly to the point of rudeness; my partner likes to take his coffee outside to the front of the hotel in the morning to smoke. This was ok until the third day when we were suddenly told that nothing could be removed from the breakfast room! When we tried to leave early we were told that our rate would be doubled. Really the worst experience.

Great location at end of a bay, so expected it to be quiet because not near any nightclubs.
Instead, fake wood floors made entire hotel very noisy. Also, outside wind banged all night against outside plastic wind protector and prevented us from sleeping well. Front desk (Maria) started out so so attitude (no blankets, then only one for room with 2 beds, finally gave us what we needed after 3 request. Attitude got worse when internet wasn't working. Receptionist (Mark) refused to help us out after repeated request for help...he is not a problem solver at all. Positives were that breakfast buffet and service were outstanding!! Cook is super nice gentleman, very helpful all the way around.
Now that Rick Steves has recommended this hotel, it is clear they feel they do not have to attempt to be pleasant.

The room was plain but nice and clean. We had a triple. The room needs better curtains though as the light shines in a lot!!! Nice 10min walk into town. Easy parking. Highly recommend for price.
