“Clean, comfortable, great value for money and excellent staff”

I spent the week with my teenage daughter in the first week of February. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone, but particularly families or older people. The island is very relaxing, but we did go on the catamaran trip, which was great fun. With regard to the holiday complex, the whole place was very clean and comfortable. I have not been on an all inclusive - or even a package holiday before, but I would certainly go again. I think my parents might be going next year! There was a huge variety of food on offer and we thought it was good. The whole staff are brilliant - this includes both the hotel staff and the Thomas Cook reps and entertainment. Nothing was too much trouble for them. This was really good value for money.

Room Tip: Having asked for a quiet apartment, we were lucky to get D115 where the sun shone on the patio unti...

“Good Value, Clean and Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

The apartments are huge, cleaned regularly, housekeeping staff were helpful. We requested extra pillows and they appeared straight away. There is tea making facilities and a fridge in the room so if you like your own brand of morning cuppa bring this with you, but just outside of the hotel entrance to the right there is a supermarket to buy Tbags, cfofee, dunking biscuits, milk etc.

Plenty of varied food choice, always something to eat. Sometimes the food was a bit on the cool side, but hotter underneath nearer the hot plate, but this was only occasional. There is a microwave in the dining room at the back near the bread and toasters if needed, but this was hardly seen to be used. At breakfast one day was bacon and the next was sausage, never both on the same day, but plenty of other stuff available. The only shame is there is no omelette bar. Lots of pancakes and cerials available plus croissants pastries and continental type breakfast.

The hotel has lovely laid out gardens and paved areas, and covers a large area, and is arranged on several levels with some steep slopes. The pool bar lovely comfortable area, nice coffe, but the house wine, beer and local spirits all good, hardly ever needed to queue. Never had a problem getting sunbed in the sun. No towels were left out.

Entertainment staff worked hard getting people to join in during the day, but left you alone if you showed no interest. The same day staff are the childrens evening entertainers and the evening cabaret on most nights, so could be a bit Samey although they deserve credit for the hard work they do. Occasionally there was a small queue at the bar, but you are on holiday so waiting a few minutes is not a problem. Always friendly and polite.

Rather than pay for transfers we hired a car for the week and toured the entire island. The roads are a pleasure to drive but keep a eye out for exits because they come up quickly. Would recommend the Oasis Zoo park as a day trip, good value (1 euro cheaper if you buy from the Thomas Cook rep including transfers!). When you are at the Zoo make sure you dont miss the bird of prey show but it is right at the top of the park so worth getting the jungle bus up and taking a nice stroll back through the cactus gardens, At the top sit on the uncovered wooden seats on the left rather than the covered seats, as you can see the birds swooping in from above which those sitting undercover missed. Never seen so many camels in one place, fed elephants, stroked a giraffe, and allowed to touch baby crocodiles and snakes if you wanted at the reptile show.

Not a lot on the island, but if you want a reasonably priced restful break then you would have to go a long way to beat this. We would not hesitate to return.

Room Tip: Some apartments had patios around pool if this is what you want request this.

“Far better than we expected, a great place to stay, can't wait to return.”

Hubby and I have just returned from an all inclusive holiday at the Oasis Village, it's a great place to stay, clean, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, loads going on, but not in your face sort of way. We had an apartment in the pool area, right in the centre of things but you didn't really notice it, the apartment was spotless and very big, cleaned 5 out of 7 days with clean linen and towels, must say the beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on when abroad. The food was very good, if you left the dining room hungry then you must be a very seriously fussy eater and should pay more to go 5*, I am fussy with food but enjoyed the meals and there was always a good selection to choose from, the salads were always crisp and fresh and the food was always hot, best food we have had when abroad. There was so much to choose from there was no possible way you wouldn't like something, fresh meat was prepared on the grill each night and the desserts were lovely also. The hygiene standard was spot on, the staff were very good clearing tables and cleaning them ready for the next person, the dining area was spotless as everyone cleaned as they went along, really impressed. Free wifi in the reception area of the hotel, plenty of comfy seating also. Location of hotel is brilliant, about 200yards from the main street if that, so not too far to walk, we were amazed how clean the whole resort was compared to other places we have been to and look forward to going back here and to this hotel. Some people put negative reviews on here about the Oasis Village, but I'm wondering if they really stayed there as we couldn't fault it in any way.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1116 and found it perfect.

“FANTASTIC”

The hotel was very clean and tidy. All the staff was very polite and attentive. The reps tom kazza and emma worked long hours and worked very hard, and always got people involved in the activities. This is the perfect place for a family holiday. The food isnt great but it wasnt bad either, you could always find something to eat. It is only about a 10 minute walk into the town where you will find lots of shops and cafes (english, itailian, indian, chinese). Overall it was a fantastic holiday and me and my family are already looking into booking here again for later on this year.

“First time all inclusive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My partner and I stayed at the Oasis Village in September 2011 on an all inclusive basis.
The Village is next door to the Waterpark.
The apartment was big. A 1 bedroomed apartment.
There was a kitchen which had the works, even though we were all inclusive.
The bathroom was very spacious with a bath.
We had a double balcony. Chairs and tables in the apartment- too numerous to count!
Dining table and chairs, patio table and chairs, sofa bed and chairs with a coffee table!
There was no air con, but you didn’t really need it as it was breezy, but still warm.
The apartments were very clean and cleaned regularly.
You had keys for the door.

Food times
Breakfast 7.30-10.00am, Lunch 1.00-3.00pm and then Dinner 6-9.00pm.
There were themed nights –Mexican, Chinese.
Breakfast, they would alternate- sausages one day and bacon the next.
Eggs would be –fried or scrambled
You always knew when lunch was being served – people would either march to the restaurant or queue at the pool bar buffet area.
At the pool area you could have hot dogs, chips, pizza, chicken nuggets.
The bar was open 10am-11pm.
It seems that your holiday is timed around meal times on all inclusive.

If you are going out for the day –don’t bother asking for a pack lunch- it’s disgusting.
Sandwich - we could not eat, the bread was disgusting! Fruit- not that fresh
The best thing out of it was the bottle of water.

The pool area was huge. We didn’t have to get up at crack of dawn to get a sunlounger.
They were some available at 10am!

The entertainment is for kids. I can’t remember a night where the entertainment was any good. Acts from the island may perform, but would only be on for about 20mins.
In the entertainment and bar area, there are only 2 ladies toilets, which is disgusting for a place of that size.
In the evening in the foyer, there would be little stalls set up, selling different things- jewellery, bags, shoes.

Don’t stay around the pool for the entire holiday –visit the sand dunes and the beach-it is gorgeous.
We enjoyed the surroundings of the Village- the apartment and pool area.
The food had its off days. The entertainment -definitely not for us.
Would we go back? Possibly, as it has a lovely pool area and set in a quite a good location, but I don’t think we could do all inclusive again –all you seem to be doing is eating and drinking.
All inclusive is good for drinks around the pool in the day time and if you have kids.
