“Excellent accomodation and great location”

We booked half board into a Junior Suite. We were upgraded on arrival to a suite with a pool view. The suite was compact but still consisted of a bedroom with two single beds (pushed together to make a double) , a bathroom with a lovely shower, and lounge area with flat screen TV ( only two English news channels - it would have been nice to have a music channel in any language or a radio), two seater sofa bed and dining table with two chairs. There was a fridge and next to it a locked cupboard that we were informed had the now redundant kitchen! It would have been nice to have a kettle/tea/coffee making facility. The room was amazingly clean and the cleaner efficiently cleaned it daily.
The restaurant was small but the food was excellent. Both breakfast and dinner were buffets but the selection was always varied in the evening.
There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool was refreshing! - they only heat it in the winter months ( Nov to March), A beach towel could be obtained for a deposit of 20 Euros which could be exchanged each day and a safe box in the room that was 20 Euros deposit and 2 Euros a day.
The aparthotel is in an excellent location. It is next to the fishing village with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops within minutes. A short stroll to the harbour where there are regular boats departing to Lanzarote or Los Lobos for day trips. The town beach and nearby Wakki beach are lovely and sandy with easy access to the sea. There is a very nice bar here where you can sit and watch the sunset with a glass of wine.
If you are thinking off going to the Dunes by the Rui Hotels they are actually over an hour away on foot but there are buses or a taxi(6 Euro each way).
If you like spas and you have a poor weather day only 20mins walk to the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real Hotel which has an excellent spa for only 20Euro each all day

“Clean, modern and well worth the money!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2010

Prior to my trip I had read almost all reviews on the hotel. I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the building and for once, the photos truely reflect what you see.

The bedrooms were very modern and clean. I would recommend that if you do stay at the hotel, that you request a room with a pool view, these are the junior suites. If you do not request a pool view, you will be placed in a room facing the main road through Corralejo.

The staff were friendly and always appeared very busy, the rooms and environment was spotless.

The pool area was nice and quiet and probably not suited for kids. There is a kids pool, but its not very big and it was very cold. There are no other facilties as such for children. In fact, there was not a lot in Corralejo for kids apart from beach and an aqua park.

The food was the only thing that varied. We went half board and would probably recommend bed and breakfast as the main meals were not great. Breakfast was varied enough for breakfast, with cereals, fruit, toast etc on offer.

Overall, a very good experience with check in and out being very smooth.

I booked transfers seperately through travel republic and they were prompt and on a par price wise with most other services. I dont recommend getting a bus because the bus stop is miles away from hotel !

Good choice for a quiet week away. Nice beach at the five star Riu, near the dunes, you can get a bus there, only takes about 10 mins !

Tried some restaurants from tripadvisor - recommend, Lemon Tree - nice home cooked meals, great steak (Just off the main street- away from beach), La Scarpetta - big starter portions so think about what you choose (In little shopping area near big ben clock, again just off main street) and La Fogalera - lovely Italian, romantic little venue, lovely meal (On beach front, just follow the beach along towards the harbour). All very nice !

“Great location, we'd come back here”

We (couple with 9 months old baby) spend a week in this hotel. We had booked a Junior Suite (standard room), b&b, and got upgraded to a master suite upon arrival. Nice surprise :) The master suite - room no 111 - had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a lounge with TV and a fridge including a freezing compartment
.
We really liked the hotel because of its location: so close to supermarket, beach, restaurants and shops, yet very quiet at night.

The service was great although I should probably point out that on 2 occasions they seemed to have been understaffed during breakfast and people were queuing and waiting to get a coffee cup. Apart from that, staff were all very friendly and helpful - i.e. no probs whatsoever to get our milk heated up for our baby every night even though we never had dinner at the restaurant.

Our rooms got cleaned every day and sheets were changed twice/week.

The only area that did not necessarily meet my expectations was the pool area. I expected it to be a larger pool but to be honest it was ok. The children's section just looked as if it was divided off the main pool at some point when it was realised that they are lacking that. It's just a square pool, not much love went into the design of it but it fulfilled its purpose. Our daughter still loved going into the pool every time. :)

“Excellent Hotel - slightly dissapointing breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

We stayed for two weeks at this Hotel on a Bed and Breakfast basis. The room was good quality and was cleaned to a good standard every day. A very good and clean pool area with plenty of sun beds.
The restaurant food was a bit dissapointing, We only had breakfast which was buffet style - the food was warm not hot and not aways replenished quickly. With slightly better organisation and food kept hot it would have been good
Overall we had a brilliant holiday and I would stay at this hotel again

“A truly wonderful break. Room of very...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

A truly wonderful break. Room of very high standard ( will request room when we next stay here). Facilities are good, pool area well designed and free wifi in gardens is great for combining lounging and surfing. Hotel needs to consider two things: thoroughness of room cleaners - whilst rooms were serviced each day, they were not particularly thorough. Secondly the plumbing at the hotel - led to very unfortunate smells through the
Air conditioning - only partly resolved during stay....
