We spent eight nights in September at Hotel Son Corb and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time there. The hotel is set in peaceful surroundings in the country but is only a very few minutes drive from the small attractive resort of Cala Bona.
We occupied a Junior Suite, which was spacious and most comfortably furnished - with ample wardrobe and storage space. The bathroom was of an adequate size and well appointed - with shampoo and shower gel replenished daily. There was a small private terrace overlooking the garden and screened from the terrace of the adjoining room by a fairly high evergreen hedge.
The public areas were attractive and welcoming - particulary the terrace where dinner was served in the evening. We chose to spend most of our time exploring the island but had we had more time we would have been more than happy to spend days lazing around the large pool.
For us the buffet breakfast had a more than adequate selection of meats, cheese, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, bread, preserves, etc. However, for those liking a cooked breakfast nothing was available other than boiled eggs. During the day a limited snack menu was available. As regards dinner, every morning during breakfast hours the (no-choice - one starter, one main course and one pudding) menu for that day was available in the dining room and at reception. Guests wishing to dine in the hotel were required to make a reservation before 1.30 p.m. On three of days of our stay the menu really appealed to us and so we decided to dine in the hotel. On none of those three nights did we regret our decision, We found the locally sourced food well cooked, well presented and professionally served- in the most beautiful of settings on the hotel's main terrace.
Throughout our stay all of the staff we met were courteous, professional and most helpful.
We shall be pleased to recommend Hotel Son Corb to friends looking for a comfortable, tranquil, quiet and peaceful base from which to explore Mallorca.
