Rancho Sentosa is a special place to spend a holiday. In a quiet oasis of peaceful countryside the house and its splendid gardens are a retreat for rest and tranquil relaxation.

There are two apartments which have been tastefully appointed and are well equipped with all the facilities that you might need; from satellte TV and wireless laptop, to air conditioning and a laundry room. The spacious and shady terraces look out onto a well stocked and lovingly tended garden where, in dappled sunlight, we took turns at falling asleep in the hammock suspended from one of the overhanging trees in the adjacent "Campo". Next to the private swimming pool is a Chiringuita, or outside kitchen, with a substantial built in barbeque where we cooked sardines and prawns and spent long evenings with a bottle of wine. This kitchen has a very convenient honesty bar which means that refreshments are always at hand!

Vanessa and Slawek, the owners, have the very rare knack of being attentive without being at all intrusive. Being at such a superb location meant that nowhere was far away and so the most diffiuclt decision of the day was whether we should drive and explore or whether it would be wisest to find one of the many little sunlit corners of the gardens or terraces to sleep or read.

As far as eating out is concerned Vanessa has a wealth of local knowledge and directed us to some wonderful restaurants.

Vanessa and Slawek go to great lengths to take every morsel of stress out of the stay. They picked us up from the airport, the car we hired was delivered to and collected from the house, Vanessa prepared our first meal and ensured that our welcome pack (something of an understatement) was sufficient for us to concentrate on relaxation rather than shopping for the first few days.

We cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are a discerning visitor to Spain and are looking for a high quality accomodation with easy access to Andalucia but are seeking real tranquility then you should stay at Rancho Sentosa.

In the last week of May we stayed at the 2 Rancho Sentosa with our friends Danielle & Ruud. The 2 apartments Pool apartment and Rock apartment are very tasteful and stylish; with beautiful old and new furniture, ornaments, cushions and other amazing objects. The beds are comfortable.
We felt very much at home and also special at the same time. When we arrived there was quite a supply of food for us; more than sufficient for 3 days breakfast. Even fruit was on the table. On the left side of the hacienda is the pool and lots of flowers around it. Apart from the kitchens in the apartments, there is also a socalled openkitchen cheringuito(?) with a large supply of soft drinks and also liquors (for a small price). This cheringuito is on the poolside with a nice terrass in the shade. Of course a barbecue and all the equipment one might need in a kitchen.

It is a great place to chill out and relax and also to visit the famous Spanish places like Ronda, Granada and Mijas.
The owners Vanessa and Slawek did everything to make it comfortable for us. We highly recommend the Rancho Sentosa.

We are a Dutch Couple 59 and 67. We got this address from friends and we must say "it is even more beautiful than we thought". Not only the house is gorgeous also the garden is more then you can think of. The area is quiet.. But if you want you are not far away from the town- or beachlife. The studio is very tastfully decorated. Is has a kitchennette. So if you want to cook yourself you can have dinner on your private terrace. There is also private swimming pool. next to a idyllic garden patio. Everything is in a perfect condition. The host and hostess are very hospital.

We sure are coming back.

We arrived on an early flight and were very tired and were happy to find a welcome pack that included fruit bread butter jam coffee tea etc so that we did not have to go shopping. Taking a nap we found the bed very comfortable. The whole flat is well appointed and we liked the bathroom and kitchen especially.
All in all a quiet comfortable and elegant retreat close to Malaga and Marbella.
