We stayed here for three days of our honeymoon after our friends recommended it to us. When I booked it, I was a little worried that my wife might be slightly shocked after coming from a 4-star hotel in Nice with a rooftop pool, but both of us loved L'Erba Persa more than we could have ever predicted. Claudio picked us up from the train station and ushered us into our beautifully rustic room on the second floor with a private bathroom and balcony. He and his wife Grazia were incredible hosts, giving us a delicious (and extensive) breakfast spread and great (authentic and affordable) restaurant recommendations (we went to one of them twice). Levanto was definitely one of our favorite places and much less touristy than it's Cinque Terre neighbors to the south. We highly recommend making the trip and staying at L'Erba Persa!

We spent a few nights at L’Erba Persa—if we had known what it would be like, we would have spent more time. A short walk away from both the train to Cinque Terre and the charming town center of Levanto, L’Erba Persa allows easy access to surrounding areas of interest while maintaining a sense of relaxation and separation. If one wants to see the beautiful sights of Cinque Terre without being constantly surrounded by the tourism that accompanies the towns, L’erba Persa is ideal. The house and the property—the historical aspects of the house, the animals, the farm, the delicious breakfasts—immediately give off a warm and authentic vibe. The hosts, Claudio and Grazia, exceptionally friendly and hospitable, always happy to assist (with good suggestions), make this place truly special. The bedrooms are comfortable, attractive and spacious. L’Erba Persa epitomizes the genuine, relaxed and charming ideal of time spent in the Italian Riviera. Very highly recommended, hoping to return sometime soon.

We had a wonderful time staying at L'erba Persa in Levanto. The stay began with Claudio picking us up from the train station. There's a grocery store right across the way which was very convenient for making our dinners in our private room with the kitchen. Great walk to town with amazing beaches and seawalk. Breakfast is absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients and good coffee. Grazia was so sweet as to serve me gluten free breads and cookies - quite the spread. The farm is enchanting. Sweet animals and lots of delicious fresh herbs and vegetables which they shared with us. They were so accomodating and sweet. We came on my sister's recommendation from ten years ago and it was still as great when we stayed. Excellent service, friendly hosts. Can't wait to stay again. Thanks for making our stay so special!

I stayed a few nights and was very happy with the experience. Grazia helped with a number of questions. I had great wifi in my room. I loved all the animals around the farm. The breakfast each morning was a huge spread of breads, cheeses, jams, coffee, tea, and pastries. It was more than enough to get the day started.

My rooms was spacious. The bathroom was clean with hot shower water.

Levanto is just north of Monterosso al Mare and is a charming little town in its right. You can easily take the coastal train between Levanto the Cinque Terre towns. I walked the trails from the southern most town of Riomaggiore (I think?) up to Monterosso. It was breathtaking, reasonably challenging for an inshape 40 year old, and it was amazing entering and exiting each of the towns from the high coastal points.

In summary, L'Erba and Levanto were fantastic. The next time I go back, I'll stay in Monterosso to try something different, as it is the liveliest town in the area and has a great little bay to swim in.
