We stayed here for two nights at the end of September. Excellent value for money, Irene is just lovely, she greeted us with orange drinks, then later in the day we were given some freshly baked cheese pies, and then we got a small pressie each when we left. Clean rooms with good beds. A really nice family run complex, would definitely recommend for the cost conscious traveller.

After reading all the very positive reviews on Irene 2, we decided to spend our 7 nights here in Naxos town. Overall it was a good stay, and much of what people say is very true - the rooms are clean, and Irene herself is a real treasure (with seemingly daily gifts for our little girl). On arrival i wasn't happy with the cot they had provided - its was old and unpleasant smelling, and after talking to Irene we found a brand new cot delivered to our door that evening! We had 2 adjoining rooms which were basically appointed but spacious - so our daughter had a seperate bedroom/playroom - and it was excellent value for money. Upon reflection, the only issues we found were that the pool was very deep (which we were aware of prior) and so our toddler was not as confident swimming here. Also, whilst the walk to the beach is only about 7 - 10 minutes, with a toddler and all the paraphenalia, doing this twice a day was a bit of a schlepp. The other thing to note is that this is a "Pension" and not a hotel, and in Pension style, all the rooms face into a central area - in this case the swimming pool. Some of the other balconys overlook each other so it pays to remember other people can see you (didn't seem to bother our neighbour who liked to be naked on their balcony!) Overall, a good stay at Irene and both Irene and Stavros work very hard to maintain good guest relations and a pleasant Pension.

Thankyou so much for your lovely hospitality, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we had stayed longer. The rooms are clean, comfy and cheap. Naxos is the most wonderful greek island and we both loved it so much that we agreed that it would be the perfect place to retire to. The owners of the Pension are very helpful and suggest good places to eat and things to do on the island. It is within walking distance to everything beach, cafes, castle, shops etc. We are saving up money to return to Naxos for a longer period of time and will definately stay at Pension Irene II again. We have already told many of our friends about your establishment.

We had a great stay in Naxos at Irene II. Its quite a walk from the ferry terminal (I suggest a taxi!) and we arrived hot and tired. Irene's grandaughter (I think) immediately rushed to get us a drink and look after us. Irene's English wasn't great but her grandaughters was - she must have only been 13/14! we had a big room and terrace, cleaned everyday. Little pool is lovely which we stayed round after check out til it was time for our ferry. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach and Naxos town centre. would definitely return!
