We spent 3 lovely nights in this Auberge in the middle of July. It was part of a 2 week trip to Provence. We found it to be very peaceful and just what we needed. Our children are 15 and 12 and they were very happy with the lovely pool area. It is possible to have a simple but tasty lunch at shady outdoor area close to the pool.
The breakfast was good and the dinner excellent but as the other reviewers have commented it is a pity the menu does not change. Perhaps they are not keen to encourage people to stay for much longer than 2 or 3 nights. I was happy for our children to be a little more adventurous and eat from the normal menu. However, on the last evening we did request a simple dinner of pasta for them and this was provided with good grace and no fuss. My daughter said the carbonara was the best she had ever tasted!
It is shabby chic so do not expect Marriot facilities. However, it is very expensive as is the case everywhere in Provence. Here we didn't mind the price because the surroundings were so comfortable and unique.
We loved the simple decor. The bar area is particularly cosy although we were the only people who seemed to use it while we were there. It is very small but there is a chess board and a poker set which made my son very happy.
We loved eating outside under the stars and beside the river. That was very special.
The staff are friendly and courteous although you have to remember to ask for what it is you would like as it it is unlikely to be preempted. We found this to be the case in Provence in general and once you realise this is how it is life is much easier. In many ways it is more refreshing than the overarching hospitality which seems to be have become fashionable in the boom era.
We would love to return some day.
