“Great rustic little gite. Helpful hosts. Lots to do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Really enjoyed our stay here - the gite was everything we needed with a small outside patio area too, you could just see the mountain if you poked your head around the corner! Didn't try any restaurants - as we found the local pizza takeaway to be very good! Also the one in the supermarket car park was amazing too!
Close to Prades for shops and definitely the market on Tuesdays. Next to hospital too! Not in rural location but only a small town and a great place to explore from. We did the pasarelles walk which was amazing but not good for vertigo sufferers! Yellow train was fun too :)
Used the pool but it still a little chilly so just a brief encounter! Great place to stay, and hosts very helpful too :)

“First Rate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

We stayed just one night. If we come again it will be more. Our room was delightful, with a terrace overlooking the pool, very spacious and nicely furnished. The breakfast room overlooks the garden and has a view of Canigou. We were greeted with a lovely cup of coffe and made to feel very welcome. The hosts could not have been more pleasant. The Villa would make a terrific base to explore the area. We also had an excellent dinner at Le Patio (10 mins walk) and enjoyed the local market next day. A very lovely stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a terrace

“Comfort and Friendliness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

A delightful find in a central location for exploring the Eastern Pyrenees. We enjoyed the "Florentine" room complete with marble bathroom and private balcony which was ideal for that sundowner. Kate and Nick, our hosts, were a fountain of information, welcoming and helpful with dinner reservations, and recommendations for sightseeing trips. The large, diverse and tasty breakfasts gave us the right start every morning.
Thanks for a delightful stay.

“splendid!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

the pictures dont do this beautiful building enough credit, it is fabulous inside and out., Nick and Kate have made this villa a delight to stay in and all the little extra thought that has gone into looking after thier guests builds into a completely relaxing and soothing stay, if you are going to this area it would be mad to stay anywhere else! Highly recommended and as someone who stays in hotels and B and B's a lot for work I can be very judgemental and not easly impressed, for me Villa Lafabregue is one of the best places I have stayed in for a long time and it is truly individual.

Room Tip: try and book a room with a balcony for the views

“Elegance and comfort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

Whatever brings you to this region of the Pyrennes make sure that you book your stay here. Some other B and Bs can give you a sense that they would like you gone and off as soon after breakfast as possible but here you are encouraged to lounge, relax and enjoy the facilities and wonderful views. It is the little extras that make the difference - the provision of cutlery and condiments for if you want to bring food back with you to eat, on tap tea and coffee, free internet access, the invitation to make up your lunch from the breakfast buffet offerings, DVDs, a fridge in your bedroom - I could go on. Other reviewers have already mentioned the wonderful views, attractive rooms and beautiful house. I can only confirm that they are true.

Room Tip: Try and stay in the Palm room with it's huge balcony and terrace and the best view of the mounta...
