I discovered this hotel when looking for a place to stay in Durbuy in 2007. I have been there 3 times and everytime it has been great.
It is run by a couple who has had different restaurants and hotels in Durbuy. They renovated this old town hall a couple of years ago and the result is very nice. They have about 12 rooms on 2 floors.
Please note that they only offer breakfast, which is included in the room price. However, there are many nice restaurants at walking distance in the center of Durbuy. Food in Durbuy is very good, by the way.
Renee, the owner, is always very kind and helpful, whether it is to book tee times to play golf or to book a table for dinner or even to give us directions.
Last time I stayed here with friends but one was sick. Renee even cooked lunch for her and made sure she was all right while we were out playing golf. Renee speaks very little English but makes her utmost to try and have a conversation with you. She likes to chat and has very nice stories to tell.
However, make sure you book in advance as Durbuy is a popular destination in the Ardennes.
I strongly recommend this charming hotel in Durbuy. It is located near the center but still at walking distance from all the restaurants and cafes. It is also very quiet. All you hear is the river next to the hotel.
Another practical plus: they have free private parking. So you do not need to park on the street where you need to pay.
