Stayed here with my family last week. They skied, I walked and both went well due to the great Winter sunshine.
Hotel is in a great location. Just 5 mins walk to the children's skischool and their stuff was stored for free in the depot as they had rented it there, so no walking too far in the big boots.
Lovely welcome when we arrived and cold meat plate in the bar was provided as we had missed dinner. The bar has a friendly barman called Gunther and spectacular views down the valley. We felt we were flying all the time.
Pool was small and a little cool but the kids loved it. Spa was also small but was interesting. The hotel seems to also specialise in health treatments but I did not sample these.
Breakfasts were good but evening meals could be dodgy. The main courses were often salty with heavy sauces and we had a very unusual Italian Vegetarian Pizza (bread topped with brocolli, carrots, cauliflower, pickled onion and cheese!!) It was always a four course meal so we all found something we liked and never got hungry. The fish options were always good. It is our third trip to Austria so we realise this is not unusual.
Rooms were very clean and had great views. It was totally peaceful at night. Bathrooms were modern and spotless.
The town has seen better days but is still interesting to explore.Tourist info at the bottom of the hill has good info about the area. I would not advise anyone with mobility problems to visit the town as there are hills everywhere and I was certainly feeling fit by the end of the week
