The room was nice and very clean, the owners were charming, the breakfast was delicious. We had no windows in our room but the owners gave us a discount for the AC, so it wasn’t too hot or stuffy. A great hotel, very close to the center of Granada. A parking place with a watchman is also available.

What makes this place is the owners, Victor and Katya. They're really knowledgeable about Nicaragua, local customs, ways to avoid tourist issues, etc. The rooms are great - spacious and well-decorated, with huge doors that block out all sound. The breakfast is good. The Internet is free. The location is great - a quick walk to the central square, but not completely in the thick of it, so mostly pretty calm and quiet. It's a wonderful place to stay in Granada - a great antidote to parts of the rest of the city, where people can be a little too focused on taking your money.

My boyfriend and I were fortunate enough to stumble across this truly special hotel, tucked away in the heart of Granada. From the moment we stepped through the doors of Hotel Terrasol we were greeted by the owners Katya and Victor with a genuineness that is hard to come by. Without any hesitation, the staff swiftly took our out of the ordinary heavy backpacks and surfboards and showed us to our room. Instantly, we felt right at home as if we were retreating to our rooms at a relatives house. This charming and quaint hotel instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with what the hotel offered for the price we were getting; a comfy and clean bed and room perfect for kicking back and relaxing, a fully equipped squeaky clean restroom, and a scrumptious breakfast. Little did we know that the price also included our own personal travel coordinators! From taxis, hotel recommendations, restaurant advice, Nicaraguan history, computer help, bus arrangements, book suggestions and much more, Katya and Victor sprung into action to help us out in any way possible to make sure we were well taken care of. In addition, out of the goodness of their heart, the couple also makes a strong commitment to helping artisans from the community by selling their products for a more than fair price. The couple is living their dream, and it is very evident. The passion they have for what the do is embedded into Hotel Terrasol.

A friend of a friend had stayed here in the summer and recommended it to us. It worked out perfectly. It is in a great location to wander around beautiful Granada, it's perfectly clean and affordable, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and we were in a quaint, nice room with a balcony overlooking the street. The ceiling of our room was most impressive with restored/renovated beams. Breakfast was delicious, melt in your mouth bread and the freshest papaya I have ever eaten with tea/coffee! Showers were still pretty chilly, but then again I never took a warm shower anywhere we stayed in Nicaragua.

The owners, Víctor and Katya Chamorro are extremely helpful in navigating the city and even the region and it was a pleasure meeting them. Their travel tips/taxi connections helped us to save money on our trip to Isla de Ometepe too. Their staff is also very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely go back there next time I am in Nicaragua! (and Nicaragua is wonderful and so very affordable so I will definitely be back!)
