I booked a stay in December of 2005. Upon arrival at the appointed time, I found the Inn completely empty except for a cat. No cars, no sign of life. We called, knocked and waited for 20 minutes before calling it quits and driving back to Charlottesville to find a hotel. On the way, I got one of the proprietors of the B&B – Mr. San Giorgio – on the phone. He informed me that he had seen our car, and because we left, he was going to charge us for the room anyway. I protested that we had waited for 20 minutes, if he were there, why didn’t he open the door? He simply shrugged this off and said he was going to charge us anyway and hung up on me. He was extremely rude and unaccommodating. Later that afternoon, we spoke with Mrs. San Giorgio, who, after much discussion, and offering of vouchers to come back another time—as if we would after the appalling treatment at the hands of her husband!—agreed to give us a refund. That was the last we were to hear from them. Five months and several calls later, I finally got a response: “what refund?” The aggravation and disrespect from the innkeepers – particularly Mr. San Giorgio - was simply unwarranted and unacceptable.
Please, stay away from the Meander Inn!!!

Could be great to tell the true . You never came and wait at the door .. In fact you came , ring at the door and just say that you dnt want to stay here tonight . you never came in , look at the rooms or anything else .As I spend all day long at the inn , and always here staring at 3 pm time of check in , it is a pity that you write something that is not true ..
