My first visit and my sister's second visit; arrived later and more tired than expected. Owners greeted us, gave us a quick tour, and allowed us to quickly settle into our night time patterns to prepare for bed. Perrier, tea, coffee, fresh cookies, and dark chocolates were waiting in our rooms along with beautiful, thick towels, books, magazines, soap, lotion, soft, thick linens and a roaring fire. The room was so relaxing that I actually decided to enjoy the moment instead of doing office work. The antique pieces throughout the B and B were outstanding. The innkeepers agreed to serve us breakfast at nine. I was about 30 minutes late but the breakfast was still hot, the fresh juice still chilled. We were served a hearty breakfast of baked apples with pecans, raisins, and a dollop of whip cream (not a big apple eater, but loved this dish and ate my sister’s leftovers), hash browns, egg and sausage strata, coffee, tea with honey, and hot cross buns. We also received a nice home going basket of buns and cakes as we left the inn. When traveling in VA, be sure to rest your head with the two angels that own and successfully run the Three Angels Inn at Sherwood.
