We stayed at the Holiday Inn Dumfries, Va from November 9th-12th, 2011.
We booked a group of rooms for a wedding guests for that weekend. The hotel is a newer property so if you use an older gps the address does not work, so call the hotel for directions.
The hotel put almost our entire group on the second floor, which worked well with our group.
Our room had two double beds and was very clean. The bathrooms had no mold on the walls and the shower curtains were clear of all slime. The rooms had a small refrigerator and microwave in the room.
The hotel had a free buffet breakfast for two every morning and children under 12 ate free from the buffet. This was the first week they offered a full free buffet breakfast so they still have a few kinks to work out. They did run out of food on a two of the mornings, but the wait was short for the fresh food to come out from the kitchen. The only disappoint was that they do not have any toast or bagels to go with your eggs.
They do offer free wi-fi and it worked quickly.
There are a few things that we are waiting for them to correct they double charged my sister's card for one of the rooms. The other thing was everyone who added their priority club number with the group department the number wasn't actually added in the reservation. Then we asked the front desk to add it and they said they had a new computer system and didn't know how to add the priority club number. We now have to fax the information over, which is a hassle that we shouldn't have to deal with, when we did our part.
Room Tip: Request a room away from the elevator, for some reason the elevators are very cold and the that cold...
