When I first arrived the man at the front desk was talking on the phone and it was clear he was not talking to a customer, but he kept me waiting. I was almost on the verge of going to Country Inn instead and in hind sight I should have. The first room I got (302) was a mess. First of all the lock was broken. Then I saw building debris on the ground. There was still a measurement ruler (the ones builders use) on the table. Part of the ceiling was cracked. Got another room. There was coffee stains on the floor of the bathroom. The channels on the TV were not tuned in yet (tuned it myself, wasn't worth the hassle going to the front desk guy)! There was lots of restaurant pamphlets in the drawers from different areas not just Doswell. The folder with information about the hotel had scribbled writing on some of the pages.
Its a shame really. These things could have easily been resolved before the hotel was even opened but its clear to me that they rushed the opening of this place. I think it opened in 2010?
Overall, the room was actually quite nice (both that I saw) and clean except for the coffee stains and debris. The photos on the website is pretty much what you get. But its not enough for me to even give it an average rating because frankly its below the standards that I would expect of the Comfort Suites brand. I'm giving it a poor rating but on the higher end of poor because the rooms are still nice and clean.
