Customer service is awesome at this Holiday Inn Express. Everyone from front desk to grounds keeper were all so friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was quiet. Our room was on the parking lot side of the motel facing the main road, but we never heard anything. We were staying two days in the area and ask for a map of area. They had everything we needed and told us how to get where we were needing to go. They also printed off directions to local restaurants. There is a nice river walkway behind the motel that goes along a scenic winding river. There is a patio over the river with picnic tables and a gas grill for guest to use, also clean and very nice for a picnic. HIE also offers free Wi-Fi in the room but if you don't have your computer with you there are 2 in the lobby with a printer to use. The breakfast bar was kept well stocked with lots of hot food. Every evening there was warm cookies and cold milk served around 7:00pm. This is a great motel. The only bad thing, they had ran out of non-smoking rooms when I made my reservations online and no non-smoking rooms were available when we arrived either. Bowling tournament was in town. We survived the smell of the room knowing that it was a smoking room, if it had been a non smoking room I would have complained. I give HIE 2 thumbs up and a smile!!! I would stay that this location again, but I will make my reservation well in advance next time.

This hotel is big on customer service. The front desk staff were polite and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and (on the 2 nights I stayed there) very quiet. For guests, there are 2 PC's and a printer in the lobby and free Wi-Fi in the room.

I had to get up and out early - 4 am - and the staff person who was there at that time made sure that I got fresh coffee and breakfast offerings. In my opinion, she went above and beyond having food and coffee ready at the time since breakfast is usually at 6 am. There are warm cookies available in the early evening. The only down size to staying here is that there is no place to workout. However, the hotel does provide a free pass to a local gym that is only 5 minutes away. I had good intentions of working out and brought my workout clothes. However, I never got there and cannot provide any additional information about the gym.

Overall, this location provides both a convenient and pleasant hotel experience for a business traveler.

This property is a perfect example of a well managed Holiday Inn Express. The staff was very friendly and the rooms very clean. The complimentary breakfast bar was very well stocked with hot dishes and was very clean as well.
There are a number of restaurants close by and the hotel staff has some good recommendations for you.
The location is probably is at good as it gets if you are in Danville for business.

I studied Trip Advisor before our short visit to Danville and found the reviews so helpful and chose this venue. The room was immaculate, the staff so friendly we felt like family. They could not do enough for us. We asked for a room on the River side (King- size beds only) and were switched immediately. The River view was so pleasant and although it was 104 degrees when we stayed, we ventured out and walked a bit on the River. They have a private deck on the river where one of their employees was taking a break. She was personable and spoke to us first asking us about our visit. Bikes were available to ride the 8 mile Riverwalk but it was to steamy to take advantage. The breakfast was great, eggs, bacon, a lot of variety. Free newspapers. Check out was simple. I was also thrilled when I saw checkout time as 12 noon so we could relax for the morning before we headed for our final destination in Charlottesville. We highly recommend this motel.
