While traveling to Charlottesville to go back to Monticello for a second time, I reserved a room at The Best Location in Charlottesville. My Husband and I like to be in the middle of things and we couldn't have picked a better spot. Right across the street from The University of Virginia. The property itself was what I have come to expect from a Marriott Courtyard. Clean, personable, and a well trained and helpful staff. The pool and spa area was immaculate as well, too bad we forgot our suits! Front Desk gave us dinner suggestions that were great, especially Boylan Heights. Great burgers and reasonably priced. As for the breakfast at The Courtyard, it was fabulous! Cooked to order and the Best Bacon! We would stay there again in a minute.

We stayed over a UVA/VA Tech football weekend, so it was very busy. Even so, front desk staff were wonderful. My husband had left his lights on in his car in the parking ramp, and the staff tracked him down to let him know so our battery wouldn't be flat the next day. They were very kind to my children (age 3 & 5) and plied them with cookies to help soothe a temper tantrum. The rooms were very clean, although our king with couch pullout was a bit small. The front desk again was very generous in supplying us with extra quilts, blankets, and towels. We used the pool every day. It is small, but perfectly adequate for letting the family wind down. Equipment in the workout room was updated, and both the pool and exercise room were very clean as well. The location is perfect for exploring the campus, and it's on the free trolley line. I'd highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night after a long drive. We have stayed at a number of Courtyards in the past and this one definitely met all expectations. We came in late so it was a quick and easy check in. Parking with the walkway directly to our floor was very convenient. The room was big and clean and quiet. That night we went out to grab some quick food and there are a lot of good college choices up the street and Starbucks for the morning. We were sorry we missed Boodos Bagels as it was recommended to us from someone in Pennsylvania. It was also a quick and easy drive to the Monticello. Couldn't say a bad thing.

I stayed at this Courtyard for a medical conference at the Medical Center. This location just can't be beat. It is an easy walk to the historical Lawn area, the Corner, and the Medical Center. In addition, there was ample parking at no additional charge! If you are at all familiar with Charlottesville, you know that legal parking is very difficult to find.

The hotel staff was wonderful. The room was clean, and had HD TV in the room. Also, bonus, a two person jacuzzi tub in the main room!

If you are visiting the area and need access to the University, this is your best bet! Make reservations early, it tends to book up quickly!
