Hampton Inns aren't luxury resorts, but you expect them to be clean and comfortable -- and this one is. It's convenient, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it provides good value for the money.

We stayed here December 29th for one night. The rate was excellent and the hotel was very clean and felt new. The room was very nice and the king size bed was especially comfortable. We also used the pull out sofa bed for our daughter and she said it was nice. The thing I loved is that they say the comforter/duvet coverlet is changed after every guest stay - this is definitely a big bonus in my book! Free breakfast, free internet - clean, good location and good price - what more could you ask for? You won't be disappointed.

Many of the hotels in C'ville, especially close to U.Va., are a bit older and more run-down. This hotel was a nice surprise. It is a newer property and the rooms are very clean and well-appointed. It feels more upscale than your typical Hampton Inn. The hotel was just a short drive to the university, and it's in a good location near the shopping mall, in a plaza with a Chilis, and a Boathouse Grill restaurant a short walk away. The staff was very friendly and greeted us with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. There are also computers in the lobby where you can check your e-mail, plus free breakfast in the morning. It was a very clean, comfortable hotel and an excellent value. We will definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn for 3 nights for a business trip. Location was great with restaurants within walking distance. Our meeting was held at a nearby building & therefore, we did not rent a car. Marty & Stewart are the drivers for the Hampton's shuttle service. They were more than happy to drive us wherever we needed to go. They gave us great advice and were extremely pleasant. The Hampton should be very happy to have them as employees! Would be glad to stay at the Hampton again!
