There's no better location in Charlottesville than the Omni, just at the end of the Downtown Mall and close to the city's best bars and restaurants. Although the hotel has a slightly dated feel--with its atrium bar and a fountain that gives the lobby a chlorine smell--the rooms have been thoroughly renovated in the last year (including the bathrooms). The hotel isn't the closest to the University or undergrad nightlife, but by far the nicest rooms in town.

This was my second stay at the Omni Charlottesville. The service is excellent. They have really done a great job training their staff. The employees act like they really like their job and want to be there. Everyone we encountered was more than helpful.

I love the location, steps from the downtown mall. We were in town to see a concert at the Jefferson. Such a cool place.

They have Valet parking for a $10 fee or you can park the car yourself.

We ordered room service and it was delicious - eggs benedict. Arrived within 20 minutes and hot.

The beds were very confortable. My only negative would be the size of the bathroom. It was so small. But no big deal.

Can't wait to go back!

The nice thing about this hotel is that you can walk out the back door and be on the downtown mall in ten seconds. I recently stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel to be a great find. The rooms were standard sized, but clean and well serviced, and I found the hotel to be in a quiet location. My room overlooked the indoor ice rink next door which was kind of neat seeing the ice skating at night. Staff were very professional and caring and hotel breakfast buffet was also pretty good. Its a good value for money and you have downtown at your doorstep!

As a UVA grad, I've spent plenty of time in Charlottesville and its hotels. I always stayed on 29, but wanted to branch out this visit. We tried the Omni and are customers there forever, based on our experience. The hotel is conveniently located and quite attractive. We were upgraded and put on the top floor when I asked for something special for my son's birthday. That was great, but when we got back from dinner, they had chocolate cake and chocolate milk waiting in the room for us! My son's eyes almost fell out of his head. The gym is decent and the pool is good too, for a hotel this size. The breakfast had good quality food and below-average quality service - the only wrinkle in our visit. I'm usually in Marriotts and Hiltons, but I'm going to look for Omni's from now on!
