We went for a get away weekend. We planned months in advance only to be foiled by heavy traffic, rain and overcast the entire weekend. This, however, did not diminish the quality of our stay here. We were very courteously greeted on our late arrival. The hosts were personable and made our stay very comfortable. The place has a great private beach and views of the the bay. It felt very secluded and peaceful. The breakfast was good and plentiful. It is a modern house, so if you are lookig for a historic place this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a quality bed and breakfast with nice innkeepers and great getaway this is your place. We will definitely go back.

My husband and I are a young couple. We stayed in the lighthouse room. One word: Amazing. The room was pristine, and it's view was top notch. We looked at the other B&Bs in the town of Cape Charles (The Baywood is about a mile north of the bridge on a bluff) and NOBODY had the view The Baywood did. We were able to eat breakfast outside and chat with the older couple also staying. The breakfast was very nice and so was our hostess. We've been at other B&Bs on our travels and this was by far the most comfortable and relaxed one yet. Zero complaints with our stay. We will be back!

My wife and I stayed one night at The Baywood in July 2011. Every aspect of our stay was terrific. We went for two long walks on the beach and never encountered another soul. Our room was impeccably clean and had a balcony with an amazing view of the Chesapeake Bay. Breakfast on the porch was fresh and delicious. The owners were friendly and helpful, even accommodating my special dietary requests. I couldn't recommend this B&B more highly! We will be back!

Once again my sister and I stayed at this wonderful B&B on our way to NC. Fabulous stay. We'll be back.
