This is our second stay and Clay Corner Inn and it keeps getting better and better! Nicky and Rick are wonderful and we were quite sad when we left as we felt like we were leaving two great friends behind. The breakfast is delightful and everything is cooked to perfection. Always a variety of food and you never leave hungry! Nicky and Rick went out of their way to make us feel at home and helped us celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday at the Inn. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotless and the whole Inn has the wonderful aroma of fresh baked goodies. We had a great time swapping stories with the owners and always felt at home. They were both so much fun to spend time with and always accommodating!! Our daughter has two more years at Va Tech so we are looking forward to many more trips to Blacksburg and staying at the Clay Corner Inn!

I was very pleased that my host selected The Clay Corner Inn instead of a traditional motel. Clay Corner Inn is within walking distance of Virginia Tech and all of its facilities. My only disapointment was that I was out the door each morning before breakfast which I heard are great. I hope to return again.

I had a great stay here. The friendly owners, Rick and Nicky, make you feel at home, and are very helpful. The breakfast is amazing - varies every day and masterfully made!
I strongly recommend coming here if you are anywhere in the area!

We spent a Monday night at the Clay Corner Inn. The room and common areas were clean, inviting and cozy. The location could not be beat as you can walk to campus or town. I read that the place is dog friendly so we will bring our dog the next time we stay. The breakfast was included and was tasty.
They have a communal refrigerator you can use which was handy after we went out to dinner in town.
Would stay again- great place!
