Very comfortable and welcoming inn, with quirky and interesting decor and furnishings. Shoreham Inn's friendly owners have created a cheerful and gently meditative house that feeds the soul. There was no actual body-food available on the evening we arrived (Tuesday) and that meant a 20 minute drive to Middlebury, where the first pub-restaurent we tried wais rewarding as well. The short drive from Shoreham to the Ticonderoga ferry and the chain driven crossing was magical as well. Swallows appear to nest under the boat's small car deck.

The Inn is nestled in the farm country of the Champlain Valley near the NY border on a quiet street off the main road. The hosts are very friendly and very accomodating. The wait staff at the pub were superb, friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor of the room was well thought out, with many nice little touches. (The picture of the room on the website does not do it justice- it is much nicer). Great night's sleep in a very quiet environment. Totally enjoyable. We would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again when in the area.
