“Another perfect stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2011

Our night away at the Parker House began with a martini (or two), progressed to a fine meal, perfectly paced, and with some great wine choices - and ended with a proper scotch (or two). Eight hours later, I was enjoying strong coffee, a decent Wifi connection, and eventually, a hearty breakfast.

This isn't your grandfather's B&B. Underneath the antique, tucked-in-the-country veneer is a upscale, cosmopolitan vibe. Adam and Alex are great hosts and made our little getaway a weekend to remember.

“Wonderful inn and bistro!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2011

My boyfriend and I recently booked a room at this inn to celebrate our anniversary. We were very happy we did so!

Adam greeted us at the door and led us to our room (the Joseph room) which was spacious and offered nice view of the river. The bed could have been just a little more comfortable.

Later, when we left to visit nearby Woodstock, Adam was very personable and helpful with directions. Upon returning to the inn, we grabbed two seats the bar and had a FABULOUS meal, prepared by Adam's wife Alex. We started with the mini pork ribs (yum), and then the cheese and charcuterie plate, which was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. We split the lobster risotto and enjoyed a tasty (and reasonable) bottle of wine that Adam recommended. A perfect chocolate lava cake completed the night. Breakfast the next morning consisted of fresh fruit, pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, OJ and coffee.

I highly recommend this inn to those who enjoy being treated well and the bistro to folks who really enjoy fantastic food in a unique , friendly and warm atmosphere. Adam made us feel like VIPs in his inn and our dinner at the bistro really felt like a celebration. I cannot wait to visit in the summer so we can enjoy the outdoor deck overlooking the river.

“Delectable food, cozy atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

Delectable food, excellent wine and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere offered by chef owners/innkeepers Alex and Adam Adler -- must be the Parker House Inn and Restaurant in Quechee. As locals, we don’t usually have the opportunity to stay (although we always hear raves from the guests), but the food is wonderful. Tonight’s special was perfectly-cooked linguini with white clam sauce, tender clams and a generous shaving of parmesan. Not to mention the garlic – lots of garlic! If you want to see Vermont at its finest, this is the real deal. The pub atmosphere draws locals as well as fascinating visitors from “away,” and you can take part in a lively debate or sit back and take it all in (usually my preference). In the summer, the view from the deck overlooking the Ottaquechee River is breathtakingly beautiful – a glass of wine and dinner al fresco is the perfect ending after a busy workday.

“Cute place but loud”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

Room on 2nd floor was attractive and spacious, but the bathroom was tiny and it was LOUD. Good thing: dinner in restaurant was outstanding.

“Wonderful Food, Wonderful Time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2011

We haven't actually stayed at the inn for a while since we live nearby, but we go there to eat as often as we can. Alex the chef has years of experience, but what makes her food so exceptional is that she's really an artist at heart, applying her unique skills and oversight to every dish. We also find Adam, the lead bartender, to be very attentive to everyone and a great conversationalist who never seems to repeat himself. As for the town of Quechee itself, besides the beautiful Quechee Gorge for which it's famous, there's a club in town with full workout rooms, gymnasium, swimming pool and other amenities that staying at the Parker House enables you to enjoy.
