The Russell Young Farm B&B is one of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. In part, this is due to the phenomenal location. The farm is nestled in Vermont's Green Mountains. From the front porch, you have a perfect view of Camel's Hump, and behind the farm are Mt. Ellen and Mt. Abe.
The B&B itself is immaculate and very comfortable. Clearly, Carol and Dennis, the owners, have kept extremely good care of the farm house. Their attention to detail reflects their love of the farm and of being good inn keepers. There are only three bedrooms (two with queen size beds are upstairs and a third with two singles is downstairs), so it is nearly always very quiet and conducive to relaxation. There is a beautiful fireplace and a nice dining area where Carol makes three-course, excellent breakfasts. We never need to eat lunch after eating her breakfasts.
While we love the location and the farmhouse itself, we have returned three times because Carol and Dennis have been so hospitable. They are wonderful people, and we have enjoyed talking to them about all-things Vermont. They are the perfect inn keepers because they are so friendly and helpful.
