“Buffalo Getaway”

Visited with my husband and my parents. My parents were visiting us in Utah for the first time and my husband planned the trip as a surprise for all of us. We drove down from Salt Lake and were delighted to stay at ZMR. The cabins were great and the restaurant was somewhat under construction but still delicious and awesome. We adored the breakfast service the next morning with fresh treats delivered in a basket with orange juice and coffee. The close proximity to the amazing Zion National Park can't be beat. I have recommended ZMR to all of my friends and I'll definitely be back!

“Family vacation-kids loved ZMR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

Our family of five stayed in an "across the street" cabin May 2011 for three nights. Cabin was very comfortable with just enough space. Frig and microwave were appreciated. Resort restaurant was delicious for both dinner and breakfast. My youngest was able to get her egg from the hen's nest and have the kitchen cook it! Staff was gracious. Loved the nightly campfires and s'mores. We enjoyed visiting the bison and the horses and throwing the stick for the dog. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. Out of Grand Canyon Lodge, Bryce Canyon Lodge and ZMR-my kids voted ZMR the best place to stay! Wonderful experience that we'd like to repeat in the future.

“Fantastic Family Stay! Great Food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

Our family of 4 (two children ages 10 and 12) had a wonderful stay this summer at the Zion Mountain Ranch. I found the location though and internet search and the reviews were spot on. We flew into Las Vegas and drove to the resort through a wonderfully scenic drive. Once at the resort we had an east check-in to a fantastic cabin. The cabin was very spacious, well appointented with very tasteful American Southwest themed art and designs. Our cabin had a nice kitchen with all the normal amenities. The cabin was very clean and had dual zone climate for the two sleeping areas.

The location serves as a perfect base for trips to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon, all of which we did.

The restaurant at the resort was fantastic. There was always a wide variety of dishes from simple to elegant and good choices for kids as well. we never had to wait for a table and the service was consistently good. Each day there were unique specials to try and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The breakfast choices are huge, our family could only finish half of the stack of pancakes we were given.

We also did a horseback riding tour which was very scenic and a fun way to spend an early morning. We did a 3 hour tour and we wished it was 6 hours when we got back. We were also treated one night to the local Bison herd grazing right by the restaurant fence, which was amazing. It was a thrill to see such amazing animals up close.

Our family highly recommends this destination, we're looking forward to a return trip.

Room Tip: PIck a cabin that's farther away from the main building, you'll feel like you're alone i...

“Cozy, relaxing cabin”

After reading the prior reviews, I was a little worried about staying at the ZMR however I am very glad I decided to keep my reservation. We went to Zion for Veterans Day weekend and stayed at ZMR for two nights. We stayed in the Champagne Suite Cabin. We really enjoyed staying in the cabin, it felt very homey. After a lot of driving and being out in the chilly weather, we really enjoyed the gas fireplace and tub, with spa jets. It was a great place to stay for a romantic wedding anniversary trip. We ate at the resturant one night and had a very nice meal. The service was a little lacking but the waiter was very nice and we even talked to the chef for a bit. The vanilla creamed corn was awesome!!!

Room Tip: When you call to book the room, you should make sure you are getting a good view.

“A remarkable few days of relaxation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

In late August we spent 4 days at Zion Mountain Ranch in UT. Our log cabin was nicely appointed although rustic. Exactly what we were looking for on this long driving trip west.
Each morning we were greeted by a large herd of bison that resided on the property. In addition beautiful riding horses and several foals were in residence. The onsite restaurant
is wonderful with local ingredients prominent.

The property is 3 miles east of the entrance to ZION NP and an easy and beautiful 60 mile drive to Bryce Canyon NP. I would encourage anyone to enjoy this property. They have many size cabins so it could be ideal for a family gathering.

Downside is very poor wi-fi connection and no phones in the cabins. Cell service is spotty too. Could be very good if you want to get away from technology. Enjoy!!

Room Tip: Request a meadow view cabin of the bison.
